1. A. J. Pittman , also known as Jack, was born Nov.
----1823 unk where. His wives names are not all known,
----but one of his later wives was a Melvian, age 36 on
----the 1880 Polk Co., Mo. Census according to Ruth Farmer.
----I found A.J. on the LDS church records on a microfische
----marrying a F. C. Robertson on March 1, 1874 in Polk co.,
----Tn and then an A. J. Pitman married a Eliza c. Proffitt
----on Sept. 12, 1880 in Jasper, Mo. A. J. Pittman is
----buried in the Mitchell Cemetary at Morrisville, Mo.
----He died June 12, 1909. A story I heard is that A.J.
----is known around the Morrisville area as a "mean" man.
----He once pulled a knife on someone, but the way I heard
----it is that if you see the area he lived in-- it is probably
----a good thing he had that reputation. I also found a Levi
----Pitman in Polk Co, who may be a brother to A.J., Levi
----married a Virginia c. Millican on June 9, 1878 in Polk
----Co. (A.J. may have been initials for Andrew
----Jackson) Jack had a flowing long white beard and never
----ate a meal without saying grace first. A. J..'s known

----first married to a Louisa (spelling on LDS records is
----Luisa and the maiden name is Robertson) Pittman, maiden
----name Robertson. Pleasant and Louisa married in Polk co.
----Mo. on Sept. 30, 1873 Pleasant was also married to a Ruby
----Brown in Oklahoma. Pleasant's wife Louisa was born May 7,
----1856 and died Dec. 17, 1903 and is buried at the Oakville
----Cementary in Morrisville,Mo. Pleasant died in 1921 and is
----buried at the Bailey Cementary at Bailey, Ok. Pleasant's

3. Joseph Pittman was born in 1858 probablyl in Polk Co., Mo.,
----probably in Morrisville. Joseph was also known as Joe.
----He married a Kizzaih Jane Roark, known as Janie. They
----were married Oct. 2, 1879 in Polk, Co. Mo. Janie was
----born Oct.30, 1858 in Benton Co., Ark. I have information
----on the Roark family, but as they are not in our line, I
----have omited them from this summary. Janie died in 1928.
----Both Janie and Joe are buried at Morrisville, Mo. The

----married until she was 49, when she first married a Cook,
----then she was married to a Hobbs. She had no children
6. Levi Pittman was born March 29, 1855. He died March 15,
----1931, and is buried at Hickory Grove, Mo. cemetery. He
----was married to Virginia C. Millican on June 9, 1878 in
----Polk Co. Iola Hood, our Mo. Pittman kin, said that Levi
----was also married to a Eliza Alice Vincent, which I found
----on LDS records, married Jan 28, 1878

7. Calvin Andrew Pittman was born on Aug. 1, 1874 in
----Morrisville, Mo. Calvin was first married to a Zula
----Scroggins, and they had a son named Homer, and a
----set of twin boys who died, and then Zula died, all 3 are
----buried at Oakville Cementary, in Morrisville. Calvin
----then married a woman by the name of Louisa Mae
----Bryson-Justus on Jan 15, 1911 at Bailey, Ok.
----Calvin was a farmer. Calvin died May 30, 1956 of
----carcinoma of prostate & metastasis and is buried with
----his brother and wife Louisa at the Bailey Cementary in
----Bailey, Ok. Louisa was born Dec. 7, 1879 and passed away
----on Feb. 17, 1969. Louisa mothers name was Harriett
----Gammon who married Lawson Bryson. Children of Calvins:

----Jan 26, 1876 in Morrisville, Mo. I do not know all the
----names of his wives as yet, but one previous wife was a
----Nan Williamson of Purdy, Ok. who he married on Feb. 2,
----1919, in the presence of Mrs. Annie Bell Ardrey of
----Doyal, Ok. They were married by J. A. Ward of Lindsay.
----Charlie married Elizabeth Bell, mother of Glenn & Lynn,
----someplace in Okla, maybe around OKC. The Bell family
----mainly lives north of the Bakersfield, Ca. area. Charlie
----was also married to Janie Lily Bell Scott who was born
----May 13, 1909. I also know that Charlie was married to
----an Ardrey girl, his brother Bill and Charlie both married
----Ardrey girls. Charlie and Janie got married Dec.
----14, 1929 at Sulphur, Ok. Charlie died Feb. 11, 1945, I
----believe of cancer, and is buried at Bailey, Ok. with
----his brother Cal and his father. Janie died Feb. 24, 1981,
----and is buried at the Kingson, Ok. cementary. According
----to infor from one of Lynn's girl Charlie and his first wife
----had 3 girls, one died while young. She says that Filistine,
----Eva and Bernice are by the first wife. Charlies second wife
----died Dec. 1963 in Wasco, Ca and is buried in Delano
----Cemetery in Delano, Ca. Charlie's children by Janie

----McGee. Will and his family moved to Portales, N. M. and
----he & his wife are buried there. According to information

----married in the presence of Charles Pittman and P. O.

----death in Feb. of 1945. Eva and Dewey were killed in a car
----accident in the 40's
