I took part in the Police Charity Adventure which was a 24-hour race across Singapore. The race took us from Orchid Country Club in the north to Sentosa to Pulau Ubin, etc. Along the way we had to complete challenges like rockclimbing, kayaking, paintball, etc.

The collapse of Nicoll Highway. This is the news event of the year, if not the decade. I can still recall the day it happened. I answered a call from traffic watch about the collapse of a highway and the next thing I knew, I was sent to Suntec City to file a live report on the blackout that happened there due to the collapse of Nicoll Highway. Later that day, I was sent to the actual site. This picture was taken on the first day of the collapse. I was interviewing Minister of Home Affairs, Wong Kan Seng.

This is a picture I took on my fourth day at the site. Later that day, they announced that search efforts for the last victim had to be called off as the site was too dangerous for rescue teams to proceed further.

This worksite accident at Fusionpolis occurred barely one week after Nicoll Highway collapsed. At this point when the picture was taken, rescue teams were still trying to rescue workers who were caught beneath the mangled steel.

This picture was taken during the great blackout when almost two thirds of Singapore was plunged into darkness. After taking the picture, I emailed it to TODAY which published it eventually.
