Born in Amman, the capital city of Jordan, which was originally known as Philadelphia or the city of brotherly love. My biggest passions (in no particular order) are:

  • Communication with people through social gatherings, ham radio and email.
  • Surfing the World Wide Web.
  • Travelling to visit new countries and to expose myself to new cultures.
  • Reading philosophy and new age books.
  • Listening to a wide variety of music.
  • Singing as a tenor member of the YWCA choir.
  • Practice Yoga and relaxation exercises.

Work Experience  

Andersen Consulting (Amman - Jordan) 1993/Now 

    Senior Manager of the Technology Integration Services division to support projects across the Middle East. 

    Established Amman Solution Centre and created a technical team (today 98 Staff, Seniors and Managers) with specialized skills in "Open Systems" and "Client /Server" technologies.  Managed IT projects in the areas of Strategy Definition, Process Review, Package Selection, Custom Systems Development with special emphasis on the Banking industry.

Arab Bank plc (Amman - Jordan) 1983/1993 
    Started as a System Programmer in an IBM mainframe environment, then became responsible for the team to develop the bank WAN and branch LANs world-wide. This involved the development of a number of interfaces to other Open Systems and VANs such as Message Switching, ATM Transaction Switching, Phone Banking, Signature Verification, Reuters, S.W.I.F.T., CHIPS and FEDWIRE.
