Good-bye Again
It was now 2 days after Halloween the day the Hanson's were leaving back to Los Angeles. Joey was going to be starting regular life again alone with starting a new school. Joey was over at the Hanson's saying good-bye to them.
"I wish you guys didn't have to leave." Joey was talking to Zac.
"I'm going to miss you but its only going to be a month. We have telephones and email."
"Yeah I know. I think a can leave without for a month. Infact I could go a whole year."
"Joey you have hurt my feelings." Zac playfully cried.
"Oh shut up Zac. By the way remember that I still have to get you back. I will not forget about that."
"I will be waiting for it when I return."
"OK"
"Zac come on we have to leave for the airport." Walker yelled at his son.
"OK Dad. Well I guess I gotta go." Zac and Joey hugged in a warm embrace. "Bye Joey."
"Bye Zac."
Joey and Zac walked over to their van were the rest of the Hanson family was.
"Come here Isaac." Joey motioned for him to give her a hug. "Here this is for you." Joey handed him a small wrapped gift.
"Whats this for." He asked her.
"Since you're going to be gone on your birthday. I got you a gift."
"Thanks Joey."
"Now you cant open it until your birthday. I told Taylor to make sure you don't."
"OK I promise I won't open it." Isaac gave her a hug. "Bye Joey take care."
"Bye Isaac." Joey pulled away. "Have you seen Taylor."
"No. I think he is still in the house."
"OK I'll go check."
Joey walked into the house. "Taylor are you in here."
"Joey I'm in my room. Come on up."
Joey made her way up to Taylor's room. "Hey. What are you doing up here all alone. Everyone is downstairs waiting for you."
"I hoped that you would find me up here. Sit down." Taylor motioned for her to sit beside him on the bed.
"What is it Taylor."
"Nothing its just that I wanted to be with you alone for one last time." Taylor leaned in and gave Joey a kiss. "Now I want you to call me every day and if you can't reach me page me on my pager that why you will always reach me."
"I promise but do you think I could call collect sometimes." Joey tried to cheer him up. "I don't think my parents would appreciate the high phone bill."
Taylor smiled at her with his gorgeous smile. "Yeah I think we could do that." Taylor reached over to her and hugged her. Joey rested her head on his shoulder taking everything about him in.
"Taylor. Are you ready." Diana knocked on the door stepping into his room. "I'm sorry guys."
Taylor and Joey broke up. "Yeah I'm ready Mom."
"All right lets go." Diana walked down to the driveway with Joey and Taylor following her.
"OK everybody in the van." Walker yelled to his kids.
"Bye Taylor." Joey hugged him one last time. "I love you." She whispered into his ear.
"I Love you too." Taylor quickly kissed her before he slipped into the van.
Joey stood at the end of the driveway watching them leave. After standing there for 5 minutes Joey slowly made her way back home.
"Joey honey its time to get up." Joey's mom yelled at her.
"Do I have to, I don't want to school why can't you teach me."
"Joey I know its hard going to a new school for the first time but I can't teach you. I have work and you know that."
"I know I just wish Diana was here to teach me with Taylor."
"Honey you have to realize that they are not always going to be home. Now get up take a shower then come down for some breakfast. I made your favorite French toast."
"Thanks Mom."
"OK Now get up."
After Joey took her shower she made her way down to the kitchen were her sisters and mother and father were at the kitchen table.
"Morning Joey." Joey's father said to her.
"Hey Dad." Joey slumped down into her chair cutting up her French toast.
"Don't worry Joey about school. Its going to be fine. You'll make tons of friends. My friend Sam has an older sister who is in your grade, she said that she would show you around." Julie her.
"Thanks Juleps her name."
"Her name is Mary Anne and she has short curly blond hair she basically looks like an older Sam."
"OK I'll look for her. Wow look at the time. Its time to go."
Joey, Julie and Alex grabbed their backpacks and headed out the door for school. Joey and Julie first dropped Alex off at the grade school where she was in first grade. Finally Joey and Julie came to their separating points. The high school was a block away from the middle school were Julie was at in sixth grade.
"Bye Joey. I know you will be fine today just look for Mary Anne she knows who you are."
"I will Bye Julie." Joey slowly walked her way to her new school. When she got to the door she saw a girl who looked like Sam. that must be Mary Anne Joey thought. Joey walked over to the girl who had a very cute guy hanging by her side. "Hi" Joey said to her. "I'm Joey."
"Joey it is so nice to finally meet you. I have heard so much about you from my sister who is friends with yours. I'm Mary Anne and this is my boyfriend Mark."
"Hey" Mark said to her.
"do you have your schedule with you maybe we have some classed together."
"Yeah here." Joey handed Mary Anne the piece of paper that had her schedule on it.
"Cool we have all the same classes. Hey listen this week is spirit week because Friday night is home coming and each class gets to decorate their hall and this year I'm in charge of the sophomore's I was wondering if you could stay after school somedays this week and help me. It will be real fun plus you can meet everyone. so how bout it."
"Yeah I would love to."
"Great. Follow me, first period is about to start. When we get there you have to tell me all about yourself ."
"OK." Joey followed her down the hall.
"So Joey." Mary Anne and Joey had arrived at their first period class. "Do you have a boyfriend."
"Um yeah I do.." Joey answered her.
"Cool where does he go to school. You can bring him to homecoming Friday."
"Well he is home schooled and also he is out of town right now."
"Thats too bad." Mary Anne gathered some girls around her and Joey. "Joey this is Jane, Kyla, and Amy."
"Hi" Joey answered them.
"So whats his name." Mary Anne asked her.
'His name is Taylor."
"hey his name is Taylor just like the one and only Taylor Hanson." Kyla shouted out. 'What does he look like."
"He has blond hair blue eyes bout 5'9ish very good looking."
"Wow you are so lucky."
"Yeah I guess. How bout we talk about something else besides my boyfriend." "They can't find out that I'm going out with Taylor."
"Girls its time to sit down now." the Biology teacher told them.
"Thank you." Joey said quietly to herself.
