The monster within
lurks dark and deep,
stays to shadows
while it sleeps.
Rousing for moments
soon to pass.
Dark hooded eyes
with lightning flash.
Breathes the air
of harshest desire,
awakens the heat
of internal fire.
Spews forth
with thunderous clash
molten heat
and furnace blast.
....the moment is quick.
Intense, with the sting
of a whip.
Painfilled flicks
as it lashes,
drawing blood forth
as it passes.

Returns to its' lair
dark and deep.
Rumbles of sound
within its' keep.
eyes flashing bright
within deepest night.
Resumes the monster
to its' slumber.
Deep within
the caverns under
shadows shift
like winding creeks
deeper darkness
where they meet.
As darkness slowly
shifts to grey,
scatters the night
into day;
The monster lurks deep within,
once......again.
