Chapter 13

Kara plopped down onto her bed. Her eyes were wide with disbelief and her jaw hung open in astonishment. It was a downpour of emotions. Happiness, sadness, disbelief, anger, excitement. She had anxiously went downstairs to eat dinner wondering what her mother's surprise was. She finally told her at the end and Kara was so shocked. She said all that she could and then hurried up to he room. Carrie was happily dancing around her room. Carrie stopped and looked at her cousin who was in a state of shock.
"Kara. Aren't you the least bit excited? I can't beileve I'm going to have a new cousin and YOUR gonna have a new sister or brother!!" Carrie asked.
"I...I....have no clue what to believe. I am happy and excited but then again...why??" Kara managed to say. She was interrupted when the phone rang. She jumped up and looked at the caller ID that was on her sleek black flipphone. It read: Hanson, Walk-. She eagerly picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Kara? It's Taylor."
"Hey Tay! 'Sup?"
"OK. A lot is up. You will not believe this. My mom is going to have ANOTHER baby!!"
"No shit! So is my mom!!" Kara replied excitedly.
"Really? Cool! Tell your mom that I said congrats."
"Yours to. Hey. Does, your mom wanna talk to mine?"
"Hold on. I'll ask." The other end went silent. Several minutes later Taylor got on the phone.
"Yeah. She does. She says she might even come over to talk to your mom if your mom's not busy. I can come over too. If she does."
"Coolness. I'll go get my mom. Get your mom on the phone."
"Okay." Kara ran downstairs, leaving Carrie only to wonder and got her mom. She skipped back up the stairs happily.
"Whoa girl! Did you win the lottery or something? You went from dazed and confused to just plain dazed." Carrie said when Kara re-entered the room.
"Oh. Diana Hanson is pregnant too! Tay said that his mom might come over and he'll come too." Kara said grinning.
"Oh. I get it now. Your happy that Tay is coming over."Carrie replied.
Kara blushed. " Well, I do admit he is really cute."
"Oh puhh--lease. You want him to go out with you don't you?"
"Hey now! No, I just like him. And you can't talk cause you are the one that likes Zacy-poo." Kara shot back at her.
"Let's not---" Carrie began.
"Kara!!! Carrie!! Diana is coming over in about 15 minutes and Tay is coming too. Just thought I'd tell you." Cynthia yelled up the stairs.
"-K- Thanks mom!!!" Kara shouted back down the stairs.

"Don't say anything to Tay Carrie. I will kill you if you do." Kara said.Carrie nodded while crossing her fingers. They both began straightening up Kara's room.
