Chapter 9

The next day I woke up to my little brother on my bed waving about newspapers and magazines in my face. Two of them (the more distinguished papers) had a photo of me handing Rafter the trophy and him holding my hand up in the air, the headlines were about Rafter and not me(a good thing!) The other five had me talking to William or William with his hand on my shoulder (I can't remember when that happened!) and the headlines shouted, 'Prince Wills & Lady Zara- a royal romance!' (how corny!) 'William wooed over Lady Zara!' And worst of all 'The girl who WILL marry WILL' –for god sake I had been in the country for just over a day and been aquatinted with Prince William for a few hours and already they were saying I was going to marry him! I pushed my brother off the bed(I was real pissed off now! The hangover wasn't helping and it was 9:30 in the morning)I fixed myself up and went down to breakfast, everyone (all the Okelshaw family, including Lara who was sitting next to Andy, and mine were there.) They all said good morning, and then my dad asked if I had seen the papers, I quickly and abruptly said yes. I was sitting next to Josh and Mrs Okelshaw. I looked up across the table to where Matt was sitting, he looked at me, smiled and mouthed 'Feeling OK?' I laughed and nodded sarcastically. After breakfast Andy and I and Matt and Lara played doubles family against family, although it ended up in a battle between Matt and I with Andy and Lara often stepping off the court to let us play a point between ourselves. It ended up that I won 6-4. My brother and Lara went off to swim so Matt decided he wanted a re-match this time playing proper singles. I won in a tie-breaker 16-14. Then we went to the pool were I sunbathed until it was time to get ready for the party.
