Chapter 12
It was 5pm the next day and I had just gotten home from going out. Caroline, Melanie, Rebecca, Lara, Olivia and some girls whos names I can't remember came and showed me the best places to shop in London.(Lara couldn't come cos she had gone to France till before school started which was the upcoming Monday, Today was Wednesday) Olivia was really nice, she wasn't at the party but, her boyfriend was Sam another friend of Matt's. She said she had been out with Matt before and that he was really nice they broke up because they both wanted to see others, that was about 6 months ago. She also told me that bar Prince William, Matt was the next most wanted boy at Eton for the Ascot girls around the 14-16 age group. So in going out with him I would be welcomed into the school well. (What a snobby thing to say!) I was sitting out on one of the swinging chairs in the forest by one of the fountains just thinking when Hally came running up to me so I pulled her up on the chair with me (it was one of those sofa ones that rocked and had a cover over it) seconds later Karen came up and saw her with me and asked if it was OK if I looked after her until dinner which was at 8, I agreed. Hally soon fell asleep in my arms and I still being jetlagged lied down next to her and fell asleep. Matt woke me up kissing my cheeks, I must have been asleep awhile cos it was dark now and the lights were on. I sat up cradling Hally who was still asleep, Matt sat down next to me, it was almost 7 so I laid my heaad down on his lap, closed my eyes and asked him to wake me just before 8 for dinner, he started stroking my hair and I soon fell asleep again. I woke up by myself and just looked up into Matt's face, he hadn't seen I was awake. Have I ever described Matt? I don't think so so I will. He is so good looking one of the tall, dark and handsome types. He has brown hair which apparently is a lot darker in the winter than now as summer had just passed, he had short hair, not spiked but just sat there with clumps sticking up here and there, his eyes were a greyish blue and he had a good face with a medium nose etc. His build was pretty good, he had a six pack (!!!!!!) and a bit of a jock but oh well! Overall the Okelshaw kids were really attractive, Luke was a smaller Matt and Hally was gourgous, she unlike the rest of them had tight blond curls and the sweetest face, she was going to be real pretty! Matt realized I was awake so we went inside. Dinner was fine and then we watched a movie. I was tired and had a school orientation tommorrow so I went to bed early. The next morning I went to Ascot for the first time. The grounds were huge and the buildings rather daunting! I was shown around with some other new girls and then shown my dorm, I was to share my dorm with Olivia who I found out was really rich and because her and I would be the two most high profile students we would share a dorm to make it easier to monitor our safety! ( I didn"t think I was that important!) I found out that I was in the Sparta Team House (For sport and drama etc. girls of all ages were split into 8 Team houses) And the Montgomery Boarding house which Lara and Caroline were in. After been given all these papers to sign I had to choose which extra-curricular activities I wanted to do, they included both sport, drama and music you were to choose either drama or music and three sports or extra music per term. For the first term I chose to do drama, tennis, swimming and skiing (other options were cricket, lawn bowls!! Softball or Volleyball) Skiing was dryland training until later in the year. I soon left as tonight we were having an early dinner at the palace! I got home and dressed in a dark blue skirt with a baby blue sleeveless v-neck top and heels with my hair back in a braid (it was summer) We arrived at the palace at 5 (it was beautiful but not so nice as other houses I had seen) Andy was still at his Eton orientation and would join us later. Charles and my father went off somewher as did my brother Josh and Harry so I was left alone with William, he asked if I wanted to look at the gardens (not really but hey!) I said yes and we went out and sat on a bench, he asked if he could talk to me about losing my mum, I said sure, so we spoke for a while about how hard it was and then William said that he was going to Althrop on Sunday to see his mum's burial site, he said that it was as bad now (the hurting) as it was weeks after the acident, I told him that my mum's first anniversary wasn't until September 17th but I knew that it would be a really painful time, Wills told me that he hoped he could comfort me as I was comforting him (how sweet) I said that you will never forget her and not a day will go by when you wont think about it but she would have wanted you to have got on with your life without dwelling on her death but with remembering the good times you had with her. He said thanks and hugged me. We went up to the house and went on his computer on the Internet, he asked me what I wanted to do so I decided we would look up Prince William Web Pages and see what pathetic crap was on them. It was really funny and I think he really enjoyed it, especially those sad fictional stories about girls falling in love and marrying him. Then my brother came and spoiled the fun cos he and William went off and played pool, they asked me if I wanted to play so I said no to save myself the embarrassment! Diner was really scary because I was so scared I would do something wrong like use the wrong fork or something. But I survived and we had to leave soon after dinner because the princes were all going to Balmoral for the weekend before school starts. We got back home at about 8:30 and I spent the next two hours on the phone with Matt. Tomorrow the Okelshaw boys and Lara were coming to spend the day at our house. Oh and I think I know what I am getting for my birthday, a horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see we have the stables and everything but no horses and dad's been hinting it for the past few days I've already decided what to name it no matter what it looks like, I would name it 'Bacardi'!
