This is just me in the barn. I am saddling up one of the colts that I ride for various people that want some work done on their colts. This ones name is Scabby.
His name is Pehta. It is Blackfoot for "War Eagle". Fantastic horse.
This is just one of the other pen riders in one of the pens looking for sick cattle. That is the job of the pen rider. Spotting and treating of the sick cattle in the feedlot. This is how you get such good Alberta Beef on your dinner table.
This is Erika and her dog Daisy pulling a foot rot from the pen. This is a fairly common sickness in the feedlot. It is not really a sickness. It is more of an infection in the cows foot.
Once the cow is pulled it has to be taken up to the hospital for treatment. That is what is happening in this picture. Once the cow is finished treatment he can be sent back to his/her home pen.
This is just me on another colt.
