Title : Microcontroller based Weigh In Motion (WIM) Data Acquisition System
Description : AT89C2051 based data acquisition system using load cell and piezo sensors, to weigh and classify moving vehicles on motorways and keep traffic records to prevent overloading. The computer interface is in C language.
Significance : WIM systems are not in use in Pakistan. Their use on motorways, busy roads and interchanges can reduce the operational costs of road network, significantly. Our system can be modified for use in parking areas and road load analysis. Data acquisition techniques and hardware made in this project can easily be used in different fields like remote data acquisition and acquiring data from instruments and sensors.
