Carson, CA - Olympic Velodrome
July 8, 1995

On the last concert of their tour, Dexter & co. said goodbye to their fans. This was there last concert of the year, and BRAVO was naturally there...

The red sun sets behind the stage of the Olympic Velodrome, about 25 km from L.A.It's 9:30 but still 30 C [90 farenheit, I guess], but that doesn't seem to bother anyone out of 8000 fans out here tonight. They would have gone through hell, just to be here, in orange county. The members of Offspring are from Orange, and are giving their last concert this year here too. As everyone knows Offspring and Green day are the best punk band in America.

The fans greet Dexter, Noodles, Ron and Greg with frantic screaming when they enter the stage and immediately start, their anthem against teen age violence: Come out and Play. Every eye is on Dexter, who is wearing green military pants, which are cut down to be like a short, a T-shirt and a checkered shirt. He looks like a lunatic, as he runs around the 15m stage, we could say he's making a 90 min. long "Jump around" marathon. Their is no trace of boredom in 'em even though they've been on tour constantly for the past year and a half. After the second song Dexter makes an announcement:"This is our last show this year! We're fucking breaking up!" These sentences make the crowd go wild.

With their album SMASH, and the single Self Esteem, the band became one of the leading punk bands in the world. They play every song from SMASH, Genocide, the new single Smash it up, and of course Self Esteem, are the highlights of the show. 8000 people scream "I'm just a sucker with no Self Esteem".

Dexter draws no line, he raises spirits, with his obscene gestures. He uses his own strength to lift out some "Obnoxious Creeps", but just for a moment, before he shoves 'em of the stage. One fan gets a hold of the mic, and Dexter starts yelling and swearing at him, so the guy just jumps off the stage. Another highlight is when Dexter gets a running start, and jumps off the stage, into the crowd. He's up down there for minutes, when three strong security guards pick him out. According to punks, you don't need any special light effects and stuff like that. The simple and louder, the better! What's important is what's happening, and not what's gonna happen, and Offspring certainly knows allot about this. After being called back up on stage twice, the band leaves the stage, leaving behind a perfectly satisfied group of 8000 : "See you next year". The Offspring will finally get a chance to rest, and will start recording their new album in December.
