Crazy Taxi gives a ride to The Offspring January 10, 2000: After giving songs to "Jugular Street Luge Racing" PC game, now The Offspring are giving more songs to the new Sega Dreamcast release, "Crazy Taxi." The band let Sega uses songs "All I Want," "Way Down The Line" and "Change The World" on the game, all of them from 1997's "Ixnay On The Hombre" album. The game also features songs from Bad Religion. The game was avaiable only in arcade mode, only produced in Japan, but how everyone enjoyed the game they decided to release it also on Sega's Dreamcast. In Crazy Taxi the player drives a cab from the "Crazy Taxi Cab Company" and the player has to get mega-bucks in fares and tips until the shift ends. It's a race against the clock as you pick up passengers, who screams and comments on while the player drives between bust streets and back alleys, to the various destinations. And to keep the meter of collecting cash, the player have to pick up passengers and then take the fastest route, even if it means bending the traffic laws, driving the wrong way and stuff. Here's the picture of Dexter playing the arcade game at Nitro Records. |
