What's jalan-jalan? Well, jalan-jalan is a Bahasa word meaning " a leisurely stroll." I've learned this word in Negara Brunei Darussalam where i worked for almost two and a half years. It is a common knowledge that almost every Filipino working abroad feels "homesick". To ease the pain of being far from home, we, in Brunei, would simply stroll over the malls, the park or anywhere in the oil-riched country just to temporarily forget our loneliness, our longing for home. There's no place like home, really. Nevertheless, working abroad is a very nice experience. You'll learn to be independent in everything and above all, you will learn to value your money, your hard-earned money. Anyway, as of now, I'm back home in the Philippines. But I really would not forget my experiences in Brunei.
