Messianic Prophecies |
There are over 300 prophecies concerning the coming Messiah in the Old Testament. Can you imagine the odds of someone fulfilling ALL 300 prophecies? Even just fulfilling 8 predictions given over a period of thousands of years in one person would be a miracle. The odds of even 8 fulfilled would be one in ten to the seventeenth power. That is 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000. Jesus fulfilled ALL 300 prophecies. Below are just a small example of the many prophecies of Jesus the Messiah. |

But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity. Therefore He will give them up until the time when she who is in labor has borne a child. Then the remainder of His brethern will return to the sons of Israel. And they will remain, because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth. This One will be our peace. |
Matthew 2:1-6 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem saying, where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him. When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. And coming in, he said to her, Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you. But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. The angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end. Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I am a virgin?
