Accho, also known to Bible history as Acco, Akko, Akka, Acre, and Ptolemais was a famous seaport on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea at the north end of the Bay of Haifa, in Galilee, about 8 miles / 13 kilometers north of Mount Carmel and 25 miles / 40 kilometers south of Tyre.
