DATABASE:
O/S:
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- April 2000 till date : Ericsson Inc.
Switch Test Engineer : Work involves extensive handling of Ericsson's MSC 5000 and 5000+
series switches .Also involves integration of cell sites .
- August 1999-Dec 1999 : Oklahoma State University (Master's Coursework)
Project:Single way Terrestrial Link Design
Client:Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Description:The project involved designing a single way terrestrial link for an
analog television signal. The design involved selecting the link path after carrying out a
topographic study and then selection of repeater sites and tower heights. It also involved
deciding upon the frequency of transmission and the transmitted power taking into account
the different losses that the wave might experience during the path.
Contribution: Responsible for the entire project.
Environment: MATLAB, MATHCAD, MS-EXCEL.
- August 1999-September 1999 : OKlahoma State Univerity ( Master's Coursework)
Project:LAN design for a Business College.
Client:Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Description:The project dealt with the complete design of a computer network (LAN)
for a Business college. It required creating small networks within the entire LAN and assigning
IP addresses to individual machine's.It also involved the detailed requirements for the wiring
layout and the other accessories required for the complete design.
Contribution:Responsible for the network design (IP sub-netting and address
assigning) as well as the wiring layout.
- January 1999- May 1999 : Oklahoma State University (Master's Coursework)
Wrote a paper on ICMP suggesting an improvement in the protocol and the possible use
of the same. It dealt with assigning a priority level to the ICMP packet.
- August 1998-December 1998 : Oklahoma State University (Master's Coursework)
Project:
1) Single Way Satellite Link Design.
2) Cellular Layout Design.
Client:Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Description:
The Satellite Link was a single way link for transmission of analog television signal.
The design involved factors such as the attenuation, transmitted power, Base station
antenna size, satellite antenna size, uplink/downlink frequency selection, selection of
amplifiers for base stations and cabling losses.
The second project involved a layout for the distribution of cells in the Panhandle region
of Oklahoma and Texas. The design featured location of the base stations, heights of the
towers, antenna size, transmitting frequency and the transmitted power.
Contribution:Responsible for the entire project.
Environment:MS-Excel.
- September 1996-May 1997 : Godrej & KIS Ltd., India (Project Trainee)
Project:Microprocessor Based Testing Jig for Magnum Pro Photo -printing
Machine.
Client:Godrej & KIS Ltd., India.
Description:The project dealt with the designing of a system around the 8085
Microprocessor. The system was a microprocessor based jig that tested for the proper
operation of the Photo printing machine by checking and simulating vital signals generated
by the logic card of the photo printing machine. The designing involved both the hardware
as well as the software part, the software being the programming of the 8085.
Contribution:Responsible for the entire design of the required circuit for the jig. Also
provided major assistance in the programming of the 8085.
