The Interviews

"Okay, well lets just have each person sit and tell us a little bit about what's going on so far. Okay?"

The cameraman gave a little speech before sending all members of the 'cast' out of a room, and told them his assistant would bring them in one at a time.

"Tell us your name, your age, where you're originally from, your first impressions of everyone and your surroundings. Are we good to go?"

Eriqa sat down in the director's chair. "Yep"

"Okay, tell us about yourself, sweetie."

"Okay, my name is Eriqa Kelisten, I'm 16 years old, and I'm originally from Los Angeles, California. Well I never expected to get selected as one of the 21 finalists in the first place. I'm not usually lucky like that. Tulsa, I haven’t seen much of it yet, but it seems nice. I really like Cali; I'm going to miss it. I don't know what to think of the Hansons yet. I haven't had much of a chance to talk with them, but they seem really nice. Isaac seems to actually be the quietest. He's the most hospitable of them all. He tries really hard to make us all feel comfortable, I appreciate that a lot. I think he can tell that I'm nervous around him. Taylor is really quiet at first but once you get him talking he never shuts up. But it's cool, because he's got a lot of interesting things to say. There's a lot to him, but a lot of fans don't seem to realize that. And Zac well, he's absolutely insane. He reminds me a lot of my boyfriend back home, and my Dad. My Dad is the best person in my life, so having Zac here will hopefully make me less homesick. I really hope we become good friends. And the girls, well, Tiffany seems really shy. She's sweet, and I like her enough, but she's so quiet. Maybe she'll open up when we get to know each other better. And Chelsea, well, it's just the beginning and I don't want to start a fight already. But that girl really gets on my nerves. She's got a serious attitude problem, and has no respect for anyone. I can't stand her, and she really REALLY needs a more supportive bra."

"Thank you, okay can we get Zachary in here?"

Zac walked into the room and received the same debriefing that Eriqa had received and sat down in the chair.

"My name is Zachary Walker Hanson, I am 13, and I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma." He stated in a strange voice, before calming down to be serious.

"I guess I'm not too sure what to think of all the people here. I mean I know my brothers so I don't have to form an opinion. Ike is the smart, serious one, but he gets wacky at different moments. Tay is the deep one, he's quiet, but he thinks a lot. He drifts into his own little world all the time. As for the girls, I think Tiffany is really nice. We were talking on the plane, and she was really nervous, but it was a cute kind of nervous. But then a lot of the things that girls do are cute. But the one person who gets on my nerves is Chelsea. She is checking Taylor out non-stop and it's pretty damn annoying. Eriqa seems pretty cool. She's like the collected one. You want to be around her, but what's really cool about her is that she acts like she wants you around her too."

"Do you have any ideas of who's going to pair up?"

"No, not really. I think Taylor and Tiffany will be drawn to each other because they're both quiet from first impression."

"Okay, when you go out, bring Chelsea in here."

"No problem."

Everyone was out in the house they would be staying in, actually more like the yard. They had to go in together, and MTV wanted these interviews done first. So everyone was sitting on the grass just talking about where they were originally from.

"Hey, Chels, it's your turn."

"Okay, I'm Chelsea Boliane, a lot of people know me as 'the video girl.' I'm from New York City, and I'm 14. I love Tulsa, but only because it's Hanson's hometown. And if they like it then it must be great. I think that Hanson is absolutely amazing and it's great to get to be spending so much time with them. I think Zac is the hyper one, Taylor is the cute one, and Isaac is the serious one, just like they have always portrayed themselves to be. Obviously there's more to them then that, and I'm looking forward to uncovering that. I don't really know what to think about the girls. They seem nice enough, but at the same time, they're weird. There doesn't seem to be much to them. Maybe my opinions will change once I get to know them better. All I have to say, don't tell him this, but during the trip I am going to win over Taylor Hanson. And that's the best part of this whole trip, Taylor."

The cameraman rolled his eyes and ushered her out. Isaac came in just after.

"I am Isaac Hanson, I'm 18 years old, and I'm from here, Tulsa. I think it's really great that we're getting the chance to spend time with our fans, and I think that all three of these girls are really cool. Tiffany is definitely the cutie of the three and she's really sweet so that's two really great qualities she's got going for her. Eriqa is a bit more of a joker but at the same time she's sort of withdrawn. She's hard to understand, so it's going to be fun finding out what she's hiding, because I think the reason she's so withdrawn right now is that she's trying to hide parts of her personality from us. Chelsea seems as though she tries to be nice, but she's really preoccupied and so she's coming off as rude. I've met her before and she's actually pretty nice, but she's being a real butt so far on this trip. I know someone is going get in a conflict with her, but I hope it doesn't ruin the friendships which have the chance to form on this trip."

“Have you got any ideas of people who are really going to click together?"

"I think it's cool that the girls seem to have personalities which aren't really like ours at all, because I can't see definite ways that they're going to go. So it's a lot more of a surprise, because I can definitely tell that some people are going to be pairing off, I just don't know in which direction."

"Okay, thanks Isaac, can you bring in Taylor?"

"Yeah, no prob."

Taylor sat in the chair. He was having bad feelings about this whole thing. For some reason he was really uncomfortable around these girls. It was probably just because he was so shy sometimes.

"Okay, Hi, I'm Taylor, I'm 16 and I'm from T-town. As far as I can tell these girls are all really cool. And I'm sure every one else has said the said thing. Tiffany is really quiet, which I'm more comfortable around. So that's definitely cool. Eriqa is sort of a mix of us. She's zany like Zac sometimes but at the same time she's calm like Ike. I guess if I were to compare her personality to someone’s it would be Ike's which is cool, because Ike and I get along really well so I think that she and I will get along really well. I don't know what to say about Chelsea. I mean I've met her the most but I also feel really weird around her. It's incredibly uncomfortable, and I don't really like it. And the part that bothers me the most is that I have no idea why I feel so weird around her."

" Kay, thanks Tay. That was great. Can you send in Tiffany?"

"Sure."

"Ok Tiff, just sit down and relax. Ready?"

"Yep"

"My name's Tiffany Malgezeti, and I'm 15 years old. I'm originally from Glen Burnie, Maryland. I'm totally stoked to be here. I'm usually not lucky enough to win these sort of things so it's really exciting. I've never really gotten to travel before, so that in itself is definitely cool. I'm going to miss my friends, but I'm sure that I'll make new ones." Tiffany said smiling.

"This is going to be unforgettable. Just like the people. Tay is pretty shy, from what I know so far. He seems very smart, and very interesting. There's a lot to him, hopefully he'll open up and let us get to know the parts of him he's hiding. Ike seems to talk the most, but what he says is usually very interesting. I really like him. Zac's awesome. He's so full of energy, it's amazing. I love his upbeat personality. He's actually intriguing. I'm really looking forward to getting to know him better. Eriqa is sweet. I like her a lot. We always have the best conversations, and I think that we'll be good friends by the time this trip is over. Chelsea, I'm not gonna lie, she was pretty stuck up from the beginning. Maybe she's just uncomfortable around us or maybe it's the camera. I hope that we'll be able to get past that and become friends. Right now, I'm still a little timid around everyone; I don't want to make too bad of an impression. But it's only the first day, so I guess I really shouldn't worry.
