Spike started his carrer in ECW under his real name in 1996 im not sure if he wrestled anywhere else right now at this piont.After a push in the company he was added to Ravens flock as yet another illagitamate Dudley Brother brought in by Stevie Richards to watch Ravens back,but he was the runt of the litter and was constanly picked on by the other brothers because of his size,when the dudleys dispanded he sided with Buh Buh Ray in his fued with older brother D-Von and along with Buh Buh he had some wild blood baths against D-Von and Axl Rotten.But when Buh Buh and D-Von decided to stop fighting and form the baddest tag team on the planet Poor Spike got beat up and was nearly put out of wrestling one night in a match against his brothers when they debuted the Dudley Death Drop on him at the ECW arena.
We didnt see much of him after that incident,He was out for about 3 months but came back with a vengence in march of that year right before ECWs first PPV Barley Legal,his fight with his older brothers intensified as he inlisted the help of New Jack who had just lost his partner Mustafa to 3d the 2 nearly took the ECW titles away from the duds but couldnt becasue of overwhelimg odds.But Spike finally came into his own that year when he showed that he could over come insermoutable odds against not only opponents near his own size but bigger men as he beat Mr Hughes in the ECW arena in under 30 seconds.He kept on beating men 2 even 3 times his size,he sent ECW s resident monster at the time 911 out of the promotion,he beat every big man that was lined up with him, until he ran into the 6 foot 6 345 pound Beast From The East Bam Bam Bigelow!!!!!!!!!
Bam Bam had just returned to ECW off a tour of Japan with FMW,Spike had already built himself as sort of a Giant Killer.But Bam Bam proved that looks are deceiving,whe Spike went for his finishing manuver the acid drop one night in the ECW arean, Bam Bam reversed turned into a press slam and threw the 155 pound Spike into the crowd and repeated the feat at the Hardcore Heaven 97 PPV but he didnt expect on Spike somehow surfing back into the ring from the crowd,going low and hitting the acid drop on Bigelow through a table and scoring a big time upset victory probably the biggest vitory of his carrer.But then his brothers came back into his life again as one night in a rematch with Bigelow they attacked spike again and causeing a hell of a lot of trouble.Spike joined New Jack,John Kronus,Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney in there war with the Dudleys.
As 1998 would start the war would intesify, as He and New Jack warred with the Duds and Axl and Balls in some absolutely brutal 4 way dances and some blood bath 6 mans teaming with NJ and Kronus against the duds,but the fues that made him famous would most likey be when he joined up with Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman aginst his older half brothers that seen them nearly end the carrer of The Sandman and take Beulah away from Dreamer.But in this fues Spike showed not only how Hardcore he is,not only that he could hold his own with any man in ECW but that he could wrestle when given the chance.And when he wasnt battleing along side Dreamer and Sandman he would keep his giant killer status by defeating Big Ulf Herman in under 5 second and nearly running Roadkill out of ECW.The blood fued with the Dudleys ended breifly when he Dreamer and Sandman beat all 3 dudleys in a Dudleyville Street Fight at Heat Wave 98 that seen Spike jup off the top of a 25 feet high ladder onto the Dudleys.
After that Spike again showed he was the giant killer as he scored victories against more big men,he ran 911 back out of ECW , at November To Remember The FBI brought in Mable (now known as vicera)to take out Chris Chetti and Tommy Rogers,while the 600 pound Mable was tring to injure Chetti and Rogers,Highway to Hell Blasted and out came Spike and he cleaned house,hit the acid drop on both Mabel and Ulf Herman through a table and sent them both out of ECW.But after they regianed the ECW world Tag Team titles Buh Buh Ray and D-Von decided to pick on Spike once again .But they didnt expect him to bring back the original gangsta New Jack into this deal,so they fueded on and off in january including the absolute blood bath they had at the Guilty As Charged PPV they had earlier this year.New Jack would end up having to leave ECW breifly because of some legal problems,Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney helped Spike out a lot until Axl got into a despute with the ECW front office this throwing Spike and Balls Mahoney togheter in a absoloute blood fued with The Dudleys over the ECW World Tag Team Titles.
The fued seen all kinds of Hardcore things happen,Flaming Tables,Cheese Graters,steel spikes,they came closer to takeing the belts from the dudleys than any other team besides RVD and SABU,and finally took them away from them at Heat Wave 99 in one hell of a bloodbath that seen them roll up the duds by surprise and the dudleys get madder than hell over being beat and power bomb both men into a flaming table,and there were dead set on setting both men on fire until New Jack made his return to ECW and saved the day.But the honeymoon wasnt over as in the ECW arena they made there first defense of the belts against get this New Jack and Axl Rotten,they reteined the belts in proably what will go down as one of the sickest brawls in ECW history.They however got back into it with the WWF bound Dudleys and swaped the belts back and forth in some more absolute bloodbaths but lost them for the final time in Queens NY to the Dudleys on there last night in ECW,of couse The Dudleys lost the belts to Tommy Dreamer and Raven that same night.
Except no imitataions ,Spike Dudley is the one and only GIANT KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
