"Hey Taylor! Listen, there's this really cool movie showing tonight… Can you go?" Tara asked her boyfriend of 3 months.
"No Tara… Sorry, I can't… But I'll call you later, k?" with that, Taylor Hanson hung up the phone, leaving a stunned Tara on the other line. She slammed the phone down in furry, and immediately grabbed a pencil and her sketch pad. She looked at the picture of Taylor on her desk, and started drawing his face. He wasn't all that hard to draw. He had some female features, such as his hair and his eyes, but overall, his face was masculine.
Later that night, Taylor called her up, canceling the date they had made for that coming weekend.
"Why?!" Tara screamed.
"Cuz me and the guys have a party planned, and it's an all guys party." Taylor said, his voice dropping down to a low whisper.
"Party my… Never mind. Listen, just go to your stupid party and see if I care!" Once again Tara slammed down the phone, screaming in frustration. Taylor had been acting so distant lately that it made her want to die to get all of the anticipation out of her system so she could go on living a rather healthy life, instead of bowing over to Taylor's every need.
3 days later…
"Taylor, we need to talk." Tara pulled him off to the side.
"Yeah?" he asked, yawning.
"Close your mouth or a fly might land in it. I really think this you and me thing just won't work. You're too busy girl-watching for me to even get a date in edgewise! If you need me, call me. If you don't, just get out of my face." Tara walked away, as some of her friends highfived her.
Taylor looked at her, stunned. How could Tara, the love of his life, actually think that he, Taylor Hanson, wasn't paying enough attention to her? He brought her flowers, he brought her candy… He brought her everything her heart desired! Except for… Except for love, he thought as his face dropped.
Meanwhile, Tara looked back at a tearful Taylor. She wanted to run back to him and kiss all over, and tell him that she hadn't meant any of those awful words she had said. But deep down inside, she knew she had. Taylor was out of her life now, and she should never look back. Never.
