A few days later, Kendall still hadn't called, and Zac was getting worried.

"What if her plane crashed?" Zac said worriedly.

"If her plane crashed, we would have heard it on the news. Now stop worrying!" Isaac ordered.

"Yes sir!" Zac saluted his older brother, while Taylor was laughing.

"Now come on… We need to practice. We have a concert in two weeks, and we need to have everyone work on 'We Are Family' tomorrow… We're all a little rusty, plus we need to practice the new lyrics." Taylor said, all in one breath.

Isaac and Zac just starred at him, amazed. "Jeez Tay…. We knew that you had a pair of good lungs, but sheesh…" Zac said, mouth open.

"Shut up." Taylor said, looking down towards his keyboards, playing the beginning of "Yearbook" quickly.

"And whoever said that song was hard?" Isaac grinned, adding the guitar part.

"Not me." Zac grinned, starting the woodblock part, which were connected to the drum set.

"Haha Ike…" Taylor started vocals.

6 minutes and a song later, they heard claps behind them, where the door connected to the main house area.

"You know, Yearbook was the first song I ever learned how to play on the piano." Amy said, walking over to where Taylor stood.

"You play?" Taylor said surprised.

"Every instrument in here. I learned piano in 5th grade, drums in 7th, and guitar the summer of 8th grade, when we met you." Amy told him.

"And you never told me?" Taylor said in mock hurt.

"I thought Kendall played the piano, because no one else in her house ever touched that old thing." Zac said.

"I taught her, and I always play at night." Amy said, running her fingers over the worn keys.

"Then you've got to be rusty." Isaac said, sitting down.

"I have my ways." Amy smiled. "Mind if I?" she asked Taylor. He nodded, stepping back. She started playing a fast song, and none of the brothers recognized the tune.

Once she was finished, Taylor started clapping softly. "What was that?" he asked.

Amy shrugged. "Just something I learned."

"Exactly how much do you know?" Taylor asked.

"Not much, but I do know 4 of your songs from Middle of Nowhere. For a few months I swear I was obsessed with you guys… But that was when I was 11." Amy quickly added.

Zac laughed. "Betcha can't play this." He banged out a random beat on the snare. Amy slowly grinned, then grabbed a pair of sticks, then echoed the beat he played.

"Piece o' cake." She smiled.

Later that day, after a quick call to her father, Amy walked down the stairs into the Hanson's kitchen, where Avery was putting together a sandwich.

"Hey Ave… Isn't it a little late for a snack?" Amy asked.

"Yeah, but I didn't eat dinner." Avery looked at her sheepishly.

"Why not?" Amy asked, grabbing a glass and filling it with water.

"Cuz I'm nervous." Avery answered.

"Why are you nervous?" Amy prodded.

"Cuz I'm afraid something's gonna happen to Tay, Ike and Zac on tour." Avery admitted, obviously relieved to get that off her chest.

"Ouch. That's gotta kill… But don't worry, nothing's gonna happen to your brothers. They love you too much." Amy said, sitting down on the floor, leaning against the counter.

Avery giggled. "Why are you sitting on the floor?"

"I dunno. It's just something I used to do when I was your age." Amy answered.

Avery looked thoughtful for a second, then spoke. "What happened to your mommy?"

Amy looked up, shocked, as if someone had slapped her.

"Jessie and I were wondering, cuz you never talk about her, and neither does Mommy or Daddy, but they talk about your daddy and Kendall's mommy and daddy." Avery said.

Amy thought for a moment. "My mommy died when I was 10."

Avery's expression dropped, then she whispered, "I'm sorry."

"Hey, that's ok! That's just a part of life." Amy said, reaching out to give Avery a hug.

"Is that why you always used to play Grandma's song?" Avery asked.

Amy looked at the girl. "How do you know that I play your Grandma's song?"

"Cuz when I was playing with Kendall's sister, Taylor ^^A.N.: K, in real life, does have a sister named Taylor^^, and Jessie, we heard you play." Avery answered.

"Ohh, ok… Actually, I just love the song." Amy shrugged.

All of the sudden, Mrs. Hanson walked into the kitchen with Zoe, who was drenched in grape juice.

Amy jumped up, then took Zoe while Mrs. Hanson grabbed a few washcloths and told Avery to grab a new shirt for the 3 year old.

"That's the last time I ever give Zoe grape juice in the living room." Mrs. Hanson sighed, taking Zoe's shirt and wringing it out, then putting it into a tub of warm water.

"White carpet…" Amy mummbled.

"Got that right… What were you two talking about in here?" Mrs. Hanson asked.

"Just stuff." Amy said.

Later on that week, the day before the tour kicked off in Tulsa, the family was packing for the tour that was adding dates on every week, and was called the "Heaven on Earth" tour, after their new album.
