•part 1•
"Amy! Wake up!" a 13 year old Kendall Carter shook her best friend, Amy Carlson, trying to wake her up.
Amy moaned a rolled over, looking at the red digets of Kendall's alarm clock. "It's only 6:30... The bus comes at 7:15. Lemme sleep." She mumbled.
"Exactly. 45 minutes. I don't know about you, but I actually make myself presentable." Kendall grinned.
"If people don't like me, they don't like me." Amy mumbled, sitting up. "Besides, I can get ready in 5 minutes flat. I don't wear any makeup, remmeber?"
This was a typical morning at the Carter's. Amy was considered an 'adopted' child to Kendall's mother and father, Kelly and Ken Carter. She basically lived over there, considering the fact that her house was not in that great of shape. Her brother, Aaron, had just died, and her father and Aaron's twin, Adam, basically just ignored her. She was definetely sad, but she didn't need to cry every other minute. Amy knew how to get on with her life, and get on with her life she did.
Kendall started to suck in air, as to scream in Amy's ear. Amy immediately started to also suck in air, knowing that she could scream louder then Kendall (=̃ Kenni!).
Kendall immediately stopped sucking in air, and started breathing again, as in defeat. "You win. Come on... Mom'll kill us if we miss the bus." Kendall coaxed. Amy sighed heavily, slowly getting off of the mattress she slept on that took up most of the floor space in Kendall's room *:o)*.
30 minutes later...
Kendall and Amy talked on the way to the bus stop, a quater of a mile walk, about the new neighbors that had moved a little ways down the street. KEndall claimed she had saw one of the kids, a blonde, looking through the window at her. Amy laughed at this, saying that if there were any kids, they would have come to school by now.
As they rounded the corner of Ivywood Lane, Kendall froze in her tracks, grabbing Amy's coat and pulling her back. Directly ahead of them were Kyle Manor, a guy who was 'stalking' Kendall, and a few of his buddies. He had threatened her many times before, but Kendall never knew how to handle it. Amy kept on telling her to tell their pricipal, Mrs. Green, about the whole situation, but Kendall was more terrified of what Kyle would do to her if she told.
Kyle spotted the two girls, and he started to smile that 'special' smile of his. He strutted over to them, and put on a set of puppydog eyes.
"Kendall, are you sure you don't want to go out with me?" he asked for the umteenth time. Kendall rolled her eyes, trying to hide her fear.
"Duh Kyle. How many times do I have to say it? NO. N-O. Ask me one more time, and I'll-" Kendall was interrupted by Devlin, one of Kyle's bestfriends, flashing an 8" blade.
"Or you'll what?" Kyle smiled, the picture of innocence.
Kendall screamed, running behind Amy *you see, by this time, Amy will be a black belt. :o)*. Amy crossed her arms in front of her chest, giving her best 'don't you even think about messing with me' look. "Or else I'll kick your butt, that's what."
Devlin advanced towards her, blade ready to stab. He wouldn't dare without Kyle's permission, so so far, the two were safe, considering.
Kyle cocked his head, a smile playing on his lips. "You wanna piece of me and my bros?"
"Hell no. I want the whole thing." Amy replied, shoving Kendall back.
"Be that way. Boys?" All of the sudden, Amy had two heavy weight boys, Devlin and Eric, another one of Kyle's friends, running towards her. She quickly ducked, making them run into a tree, getting the blade stuck in the thick bark. Kyle laughed at this, then reached into his pocket, revealing a carving knife. "Good thing I carry extras."
He lunged at Amy, Amy being to close to dodge it, getting her in the left arm, right below the elbow. Luckily, the blade didn't go in too deep, so it was only a minor wound *haha Kenni. :o)*. Then, after Amy was out of the way, Kyle leaped onto Kendall, getting her in the thigh.
After this, they heard footsteps running towards them, and then they saw Kyle's eyes grow as big as saucers *lol, you should see it when that happens!*. He quickly got off of Kendall, and ran away as fast as her could. As Kendall looked up, the pain in her legs turned into too much, and she fainted.
"Ohmigod, listen, you stay here for a sec while I go call an ambulence!" the rescuer said, running off in the other direction. Amy tended to Kendall, looking up only to see which house the young man ran into. It was the one with the new neighbors.
