Creek - 1 house fire and one grass fire; Bryan Cole from Veterans Colony - 1 grass fire and one
barn fire; Neal Wood from West End - 2 grass fires. David Nix from Wilburton - 13 responses.
During the meeting Neal Wood asked if there was anything that had priority for the Association
to address. Dwight Glenn brought up the paging and dispatch issue. He stated that Ash Creek is
still not being paged for fires that are in their designated area first. He would like the Association
to look into this matter due to his request being ignored. Neal Wood stated that there was a 911
dispatch board put together late last year to address this issue. David Nix stated that the 911
board has finished their duties that were requested of them and have not had a meeting since early
in the year. They were put together to find out some of the problems of the 911 system and then
possibly find solutions to those problems. They have turned their report to the County
Commissioners for them to act on the recommendations. No response has been seen from these
efforts.
The fire training center will be put out for bids at the first of the year. The spending of the grant
money is to be done by June, 2000. This building and training center will be used for various
agencies for training and classes to be held.
Meeting adjourned.
