"Zac what are you doing?" Brandi asked as he hit the button for the basement…"Why are we going down to the basement?" She asked studying the look on Zacs face. He just looked at her and sighed. Soon the door opened and he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out…"Aww… Zac your hurting me!" She said as pushed her up against the wall and pressed his lips to hers. Brandi was shocked by this, Zac was her best friend. Of course they had feelings for one another, how could they not after all they shared, but she was with Taylor.
"Zac…" She said as she pushed him away. He just looked at her…"You know we cant do this!" She said moving away from the wall.
"Then what is your problem…why did you freak out down there when you saw me with Jasa?" Zac asked.
With a sigh she said…"Zac, I dunno why I did…"
"Because you still care for me…don't you?" Zac asked looking into her eyes.
"YES…I mean no…Look I dunno anymore its all so confusing!" Brandi said throwing her arms in the air walking back to the elevator.
"Don't walk away from me now!" Zac said grabbing her arm…" I have to know or else I'll never move on."
"Zac look I don't know!" She screamed.
" Yes you do…tell me please…" He said touching her face with the back of his hand…"I love you and I always will, but if you know that your in love with my brother tell me so I can move on." He said letting go.
"I love you…YOU KNOW THAT…but I cant be with you…" She paused for a brief second…"I'm In love with Taylor." She said getting into the elevator followed by Zac…"Your still my best friend Zac…none can ever take that away." She said pushing the button for the 1st floor.
" Yeah…best friends…" He said hugging her…"Always." He said into her ear. The door opened and Ike and Tay were gone.
"Hey!" A nurse called…"We've been looking for you two, shes out of surgery and ok, you can go see her."
"Thanks.." Brandi said as she and Zac took off down the hall.
"So whats going on?" Brandi asked Dr.Brannen as Zac went on inside to see Clarissa.
"Well, Im afraid we have good news and bad news." He said with a sigh.
" Good news first." Brandi stated.
" The good news is…shes ok. Her ribs will heal ok and we were able to get most of the glass from her head and eyes…the rest will fall out in time…"Pausing for a second her said…"the bad news is…she lost the baby. She was hit right in the lower part…"He said motioning to her stomach…" causing it to kill the baby instantly. "
" Oh my god!" Was all that Brandi could get out…"does she know?"
" No…we were kinda wondering if you could do that…we think it would be better that way." He said.
"yeah…" Brandi said leaving the doctor and walking into the room…"Hey." She meekly said walking over to the bed.
" Hi." Clarissa said very weakly.
" Zac…could you and Tay leave the room for a few mins please?" Brandi asked. With no words both Tay and Zac left.
" I love you…" Brandi said with a smile…"the doctor says your gonna be ok…" She said now with tears…" The baby Clarissa…its gone." Brandi said touching Clarissa's stomach.
" What…no..no…my little baby…" Clarissa cried out.
" Im so sorry…god I love you…" Ike cried along with her now holding her hand placing small kisses on it…" Im so sorry Clarissa…god forgive me please…" He said kissing her forehead. Clarissa said nothing. Ike placed his head on her stomach and cried as she placed her hands on his head and cried. Brandi left the room cry-n.
" What is it…whats wrong?" Taylor said walking toward Brandi.
" The baby…its gone." She said wrapping her arms around his neck.
" oh my god…" Zac said sitting down.
" What am I gonna do with you now?" Brandi asked taking Tay's cap off touching his face and what should have been h is hair.
" It dosent matter…I love you." He said kissing her face.
" I love you too…" She said into his ear.
" Oh god Ike I came as fast as I could…" Diana said rushing over to her son who was glued to the side of Clarissa's bed who was now sleeping.
" How is she?" Diana asked.
" Ok I guess…she finally cried herself to sleep.
" Oh baby Im so sorry…" She said hugging her son.
" I know mom…" He said holding back tears.
" Soon you can have babies of your own…" She said.
" It was my baby…" he said.
" But you don't know for sure." Diana said.
" It dosent matter…it was my baby." Ike didn't care, to him, Clarissa was the mother and he was the father. They were together and that's the way it was. But now…its gone.
" Oh I love you…" Diana said kissing his forehead.
