Making Up

"Kid, don't you know how hard it is for me, Hard To Say I'm Sorry? But, I am," Lou asserted as sincerely as she could. Their fight had been stupid. And she regretted it.

Please, I've got to know. Will You Still Love Me?, Love Me Tomorrow?"

It took the Kid a minute to answer. He had no doubt about his lover's sincerity and he needed her as much as she needed him. Still, what she'd said had been hurtful.

Then, again, a couple of the things he'd said were for her, too, and she'd found a way to forgive him.

He took her small hands into his larger ones. "What Kind Of Man Would I Be if I gave up on us after just one fight? Especially when it wasn't about anything so important?"

Don't you know, Lou, that You're A Hard Habit to Break, that You're My Inspiration? I Don't Want To Live Without Your Love because it means too much to me. We Can Last Forever. I know we can.

"I know we can, too," Lou whispered wrapping her arms around her Kid and snuggling into his warmth.
