Susanah and Ambrose made their first home in
Lincoln county, Tennessee

By 1822 they moved to Alabama where they are in the 1830 Census of Marion County.

They moved to Missouri between 1830 and 1832

In the spring of 1845 Ambrose and 2 sons went to Texas to build a cabin and raise a crop before the rest of the family came in November 1845.

In 1850 Susanah Medlin Foster was issued a Peter's Colony certificate for 640 acres
A part of Susanah's 640 acres is now Main Street of Grapevine, Texas near the Dallas International Airport.
