KEN'S MILITARY CAREER

Ken was well prepared for a military career with a Marine as his dad. His early years were spent in organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America combined with weekends camping and hunting in the mountains of Oklahoma.

Ken excelled in the Boy Scouts and was one of the first Eagle Scouts in the area.

THE WARRANT YEARS

When Ken learned he was being commissioned, Shelly said,"Oh Boy. We're going to be rich!" We had not realized it, but she was probably only reflecting what she had heard from us. It wasn't long before our lifestyle in the commissioned officer ranks did away with that misconception.
