"Ohhh...Father! I adore it!" the Princess of The Mushroom Kingdom squealed (Secretly, though, Peach hated it. She thought it was incredibly stupid. What was "it" you might ask. Why, a peach tree of course! Her father had been giving her one on her birthday ever since she had teeth to eat peaches with. And every year she grew more and more sick of them. Why can't I have a regular birthday gift? she would think sadly as she munched on a peach. I mean, I am a Princess. A very peachy Princess that is!). "Do you really?" her father asked. "Of course I do, silly!" Peach lied. "Oh, Good! I was afraid you might tire of peach trees. After all, I have given them to you ever since I could remember! But I should have known! My Peachy Princess shall never tire of anything! Shall she?" Princess Peach fidgeted nervously while thinking of an answer. "Peach? Peach dear?" Father asked her. "Oh!" Peach said, startled. "Ummm...Right!" Peach felt terrible about lying to her father, but how c ould she ever explain to him the fact that she hated the stupid peach trees he gave her all the time? So she went on this way for the rest of the year. And the next. Until her sixteenth birthday came along. And by then she was sick of it! She'd had enough! "Luigi, dear, I'm going to Bowser's castle tonight," Peach stated bravely. "WWWWWHHHHHAAAAATTTTT?????!!!!!" Luigi, her boyfriend, screamed. Luigi was way cautious of Peach, and always looked out for her. Especially since Bowser was always capturing her. She had vowed early in the year that she would never go to his castle or get captured by him again. But leave it to Peach to make a stupid decision like this. "I said I'm going to Bowser's castle." Peach repeated, this time with less confidence. "WHAT FOR??" Luigi asked, almost afraid to know. "You aren't turning to the evil side, are you Peachy?" "Of course not!!!" Peach said, laughing. "GOOD!!!" Luigi joined in on her laughter, only because he was relieved though. Then he caught himself. "Peach, if you're not going there to turn against us, why are you going? You know how powerful King Bowser Koopa is. And now that he has Wart and Queen Lena helping him out, there's no way we can beat him!" "Oh, don`t be silly!" Peach exclaimed . "I'm not going there to fight him!" "Then are you...?" Luigi`s voice trailed off, the thought too awful to bear. Suddenly his face turned as green as his trousers. "LUIGI!WHAT`S THE MATTER???" Peach screamed frantically. "Uhhh...Duhhh...Ohhh..." Luigi blubbered. "TALK to me Luigi!!!" "Ohhh...I just got this silly idea maybe you were in love with Bowser, not me!!!" "Ohhh...Luigi, don't you ever think that! Besides, Bowser's married to Queen Lena now!!!" "OH!!!YEAH!!!I knew that!!!" "Whatever," Peach mumured. "Anyway,the reason I am going is because I am planning on asking Bowser to give me a potion that will make Father give me whatever I want, except a stupid peach tree. "Oh, my gosh! My girlfriend, the love of my life, has been driven crazy by peach trees!" Luigi could hardly bear the thought. It was awful. "Peaches, are you sure you want to do this? I mean, who's gonna take you there?" "Yoshi is! It's all set!" "Peaches, honey, I never thought I would say this, but, well, you`re crazy!" "I am most certainly not!!!" Peach exclaimed, a horrified look on her face. "Yes,you are. We can take you to Dr. Mushy Room in the morning. Why don't you get some rest now?" "Rest? Rest? Rest? Why should I get REST? In one hour, at sundown, I am leaving for his castle! And that's all there is to it! And don't you dare tell Father!" And with that Peach marched out the room, a determined look on her face. "Peach! Peach, wait!!! Come back! Peach? Peach... please?" "What's all the commotion about?" Toad, the Mushroom King's closest and most loyal trustee, friend, and helper, asked. "Oh, nothing you would know about you mushroom," said the usually nice Luigi. "Sorry," Toad said sadly, looking hurt. "Fine, fine," Luigi murmured as he ran after Peach. "PEACH! WAIT!" "What? Just what is it?" Peach snapped. "I have decided that as long as you're going I'm going with you. I don't want you to be all alone with Bowser and his gang. Even if Yoshi is going with you." "Oh, Luigi! You're the BEST!!!" Peach threw her arms around Luigi and as the sun set they made their way along the path to Bowser's castle on Yoshi's back. Darkness fell as they approached the gates. It was a full moon out and Bowser's beautiful, strong castle towered overhead. "Looks like no one's home. We better come back tommorow." Luigi said cowardly. "Nonsense!" Peach said. "Bowser always has his lights off. He only has small candles and torches ablaze in the halls. I would know." "Oh. Well, let's go!" Luigi said totally unenthusiastically. So they opened the gates and marched in. This seemed odd to Peach. Bowser usually always had his gates locked. Little did they know, Bowser was expecting them (And even worse, he had a plan).So they crept softly up to Bowser's castle. Meanwhile, in Bowser's castle... "There here, King Bowser! There here!" cried a koopa troopa. "GGGGGRRRRR!!!!" Bowser growled. "Now, now dear! Calm down." Lena said calmly. "It`s just that stupid Princess Apple and Luki with that animal called Yippe." "Ohh...good. It isn't that pesty Mario." "I believe that it's Marci, dear." "No, no. It's Mario. I'm positive." "No, it's not." "Yes, it is." "No, you're wrong! It's Marli!" "I think I would know, dear. And it's Mario." "You all are both wrong. It's Marsha," Wart, Bowser's second-in-command, cut in. Before anyone can say another word, they here a knock at the door. "Who is it?" Lena called out sweetly. "The Princess, Yoshi and me, Luigi." "Oh, well we weren't expecting visitors!" Lena opened the door, and with a wide sweep of her hand, said, "Do come in though. We are prepared for anything." Lena put on a fake sweet smile over her evil grin. "Well, thank you." Peach said. "I know this short notice and all, but it's urgent." "Oh?" Lena said, raising an eyebrow. "Yes, you see-" "Well! Why don't we discuss this over a couple of martinis?" Bowser interrupts. "Lena, go to the kitchen and get us some!" "Of course, dear." Lena disappeared into the kitchen to fix the drinks. "So, Apple, why are you here again?" Wart asked. "It's Peach, and I haven't told you yet." "Well, tell us!" Bowser ordered Peach. "Alright. I was wondering if you had a potion I could put in my father's drink that would make him give me everything I want except for those darn peach trees!" Well, King Bowser knew this already and had made a potion alright. But this potion was for Peach. It would make her turn evil. "Here you go!" Lena said suddenly, seeming as though she had popped out of nowhere. "Five martinis. One with peaches for you, Banana." "It's Peach!!!" "Whatever. One with broccoli for you, Luki." "It's Luigi." "Whatever. One for you, Wart, hold the veggies, one with strawberries and kiwi for me, and one regular with a paper umbrella for the King!" "Thank you, Lena," Wart and Bowser say in unison as Lena sat down on her throne that is seated between Wart and the King. "So, how is your drink, Cherry?" Wart asked Peach. "I told you, it's- ooohhhh...I don't feel so well." "Oh,that`s too bad," Bowser said, pretending his heart was full of sorrow. "Well, Wart, why don't you go get the potion so they can leave with Yoshi?" Bowser suggested. "Yes,King Bowser!" And off went Wart, planning to take Yoshi. "By the way, where is Yoshi?" Luigi asked curiosly. "Ohhh..." Peach moaned. "Are you okay,Peach?" Luigi asked with concern in his eyes. "She'll be fine," Lena said, standing up. "We'll take care of her. Why don't you leave now?" "NO!I WON'T!" Luigi yelled. "LET US GO! "You know, I've had just about enough of you! Wart, put him in the dungeon with Yippe," Bowser ordered as Wart walked in. "Right away, King Bowser!!!" "It's YOSHI and put me down!!!" Luigi shouted as Wart picked him up and hauled him off. "NO WAY, Luki! King's orders. And anyway, I wouldn't put you down even if I could." And off went Wart, carrying Luigi with him. A screaming, wailing Luigi that is. By now the Princess was beginning to turn evil. "HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!" Peach cackled. Bowser and Lena exchanged glances. This was a very good sign. Moments later she was all for Bowser. She was never known again for her kindness, her wealth, her generousity, or her high place in the Mushroom Kingdom. Instead she was one of Bowser's best fighters. And his third-in-command. Two years later her and Wart got married and gave birth to Birdetta. Oh, yes! And Luigi and Yoshi were never heard of again.
