Hi and welcome to Lone Rider Stockdogs!

We raise cattle dogs for the cowman; we don’t raise sheep dogs. I want dogs that suit me, that way I know they will suit you. We do not raise any thing but cow dogs. I have done this for close to 20 years and have had a lot of success. I have been on a ranch all of my life. I want dogs that I like to work and can show off a little. When I go cowboy, I don’t want any weak dogs that the cows run off or a dog that can’t stop the lead or can't turn them into a gate. We have dogs with a big heart and big drive if you get mad they won’t quit and go to the house.

We strive for hard bite and biddablilty. We have that in Alf, Jay and Skip. They are all from proven great’s in breeding. Like LR. Alexander’s Jill/Griz, E. Wanman's Willy, Glen Gutheridge's Hank and my Lone rider Odie. They are all done breeding now or have past on. All of these dogs have made our dogs and we have crossed these dogs. With trial and error we have now got them put together in some great cross' that are really working for a lot of ranchers. Our females all work. Although they have a lot of age on some of them, they make the backbone of our breeding program. I have Willy daughters, a Griz daughters, Odie daughters and daughters of Rindal's Cap (a double-bred Griz dog).

I have sold dogs to about all fifty states, and in a few different countries. We have offspring in Red Bluff Bull sale and at the USBCHA (United States Border Collie Handlers Assn.) cattle finals, Red River, Gulf Coast, West Coast Cattledog Assn, and the LSCDF (Lone Star Cattle Dog Futurity). We also have hundreds of dogs on ranches around the country. We have goats to start puppies on, but they work cattle at 8 to 12 months. If they don’t work, then they are spayed or neutered and sent to pet homes. We have had several of these that have gone to agility homes and have done very well.

I have had a lot of people that want to give us a testimonial; we will put them on here some day. These dogs will sell themselves; we have a lot of repeat customers.

We raise good dogs that are guaranteed to work and we stand behind them. We will replace any year old dog that will not work with a young pup that will be at least 7 months old. That way, you are not raising another puppy to the year old stage again. We DO stand behind our bloodlines.
