James Dzur
Class of 1960
Jim graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1964 as a Gold Star Scholar and Vanderbilt University in 1968 with a Doctorate of Medicine Degree. His specialty is Internal Medicine. He did his residency at the University of Kentucky.
Major Dzur was a medical doctor in the U.S. Air Force at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. After completing his military service, he was in a private practice at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He moved to Nampa, Idaho as doctor in Saltzer Medical Group where he practiced medicine for 15 years.
Jim is presently retired from the practice of medicine after 35 years. He is on the homeowner's board of Middle Creek Homeowners Assoc., a lay leader at the Southside United Methodist Church of Nampa and on the board of Teen Challenge of Idaho.
He also volunteers at the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge as a field day leader for Scout Days and volunteers to man the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge station on Saturdays when the regular staff is off.
Jim and his wife Judith have been married for 42 years and have four children.
