1996
February
Global Civil War erupts across the earth.
1998
September
First variable combat machine, the Centaur Variable Hovertank, enters service.
1999
July 1st
An unknown object crashes to earth, with mass destruction following in it’s wake, and onto Macross
Island.
July 3rd
Emergency summit between the major powers of earth’s current conflict takes place and a formal
cease fire declared.
July 6th
UN sends a joint team to investigate the crash site and to secure it. Unknown object is discovered to
be an alien starship. Due to the appearance of this alien starship, its existence is kept top secret.
Formal announcements state that the object was a meteor about 2-3000 meters in diameter.
2000
March
OTEC is founded as an alien technology research center. It is a joint venture by the American,
Russian, German, English, Japanese, and French governments to be located in a subterranean
complex near Tokyo, Japan. It is later (mid 2008) to be renamed the Robotech Research Center.
April
Research into humanoid shaped combat machines (destroids and battloids) is begun.
May
OTEC develops and constructs Alpha and Beta class space destroyers as research platforms.
June
The Lancer I space fighter is developed as the first human space combat craft.
Early July
Official announcement of the SDF-1’s existence and the existence of aliens by the UN.
(All except for the size of the aliens that is)
Late July
Ground work is laid for the creation of the United Earth Government.
September
Construction of a large moon base is begun.
December
Designing stage for the MAC II artillery mecha begins.
2001
January
United Earth Government (UEG) is formally established.
February
OTEC begins the SDF-1 reconstruction project. Upgrading of current combat machinery is
undertaken.
May
OTEC begins the construction of the L-5 shipyards in lunar orbit.
June
Construction on Mars Base Sera is begun.
July
Civilian immigrate to Macross Island for the SDF-1 reconstruction project.
September
Robotech Defense Force (RDF) formally established.
2002
January
Proposal of the variable combat mecha is made to the UEG and accepted
April
Hunter space fighter developed and put into production
May
RDF headquarters and Grand Cannon I to be built at the same location in Alaska.
RDF Excalibur begins its design stage.
July
Design stage of the ARMD carrier begins.
Lancer II space fighter is developed and put into production.
August
Oberth class space destroyer begins it’s design stage.
2003
March
Construction of both the Oberth and ARMD class space ships is begun.
June
RDF Gladiator begins its design stage.
October
Construction of the SDF-2 begins ,using information gleamed from the reconstruction efforts on the
SDF-1, on the newly completed moon base.
Mars Base Sera is completed ahead of scheduled and is staffed immediately by months end.
December
RDF Excalibur begins production.
2004
January
RDF Masamune developed as a close combat partner to the Excalibur.
April
Grand Cannon II begins construction in Australia.
November
Grand Cannon III begins construction in Africa.
2005
January
Production of the RDF Gladiator begins.
March
First Oberth destroyer, the UES Oberth, enters service.
October
Due to numerous threats from Anti-UEG terrorists, Mars Base Sera is evacuated.
September
The UES Tsiolkovsky, a newly christened Oberth class destroyer, is hijacked by Anti-UEG terrorists
and used to destroy the returning fleet from Mars.
The UES Goddard, another Oberth class destroyer captained by Henry J Gloval, finds and destroys
the UES Tsiolkovsky.
October
MAC II artillery mecha enters production.
In a retaliatory strike for the destruction of the Tsiolkovsky, Grand Cannon III is attacked and
destroyed.
November
CVS-101 Prometheus is commissioned. She is the first surface carrier to have the ability to
submerge.
December
RDF Masamune is put into limited production.
2006
February
Prototype production of the XVF-1 begins
March
Grand Cannon IV begins construction in South America
April
SLV Daedulus, the first in its class of submersible landing craft, is commissioned
September
QF-3000 Ghost drone fighter, mans first artificial intelligence combat craft, enters service.
2007
January
SDF-1 crew training centre established on Macross Island
February
Flight tests begin on the XVF-1 fighter
March
Destroids are deployed onto the Daedulus
June
Grand Cannon V begins construction on the moon
Space tests begin on the XVF-1 fighter
October
VF-1 Valkyrie begins production
2008
June
ARMD I enters service
August
VF-1A enters service, but usage is limited to fighter mode only.
September
MAC II enters service.

ARMD II enters service
VF-1D enters service. It is a fully combat capable training craft sporting a different head than the
-1A as well as an additional laser.
December
VF-1J enters service as an officers model. Like the VF-1D it has a different head than the -1A and
an additional laser as well.
2009
January
VF-1S enters service. This model is exclusively assigned to CAGs. It has more powerful engines,
an upgraded sensor package, and like the -1D and -1J, it has a different head than the -1A but also
mounts three additional lasers.
Full mecha complement is loaded onto the SDF-1
Reconstruction of the SDF-1 is complete.
February
SDF-1 launch ceremony.
Zentraedi arrive in earthspace and attack Macross Island in a n attempt to capture the SDF-1
SDF-1 performs a misfold taking the Prometheus, Daedulus and most of Macross Island with it.
They defold somewhere near Pluto.
All survivors are transferred to the SDF-1.
Prometheus and Daedulus are attached to the SDF-1 to be used as Hangers and Mech storage to make room for the 70 000 plus survivors from Macross Island.
Macross survivors begin rebuilding Macross city inside of the SDF-1.
Raidar X is developed and put into production by the engineers on board the SDF-1
March
ARMD III enters service
Reconstruction of Macross City on board the SDF-1 is completed.
Raidar X enters service.
First transformation of the SDF-1 is performed.
April
Battle of Saturn's Rings

ARMD IV and V enter service
July
Spartan developed and put into production by the engineers on board the SDF-1.
August
ARMD VI enters service
October
ARMD VII enters service.
Battle of Mars Base Sera.
After studying performance data on the VF-1, engineers on board the SDF-1 decide to begin designing add-on armour and weapon packages to augment the VF-1 when in space.
Macross Broadcasting System makes it’s debut with the Miss Macross Contest, won by one Lynn Minmay.
The Heavy Armour System for the VF-1 sees it’s first combat. It’s performance is far less than spectacular but it is produced in limited quantities anyway.
November
First contact between Zentraedi and humans when for crewmembers are captured.
Missing crewmembers make a daring escape and return safely to the SDF-1.
The SDF-1 finally returns to Earth, her adopted home
December
During a battle with zentraedi forces, a large part of Ontario Quadrant is destroyed when the SDF-1’s experimental Barrier system overloads.
The SDF-1 is ordered to leave Earth immediately or face destruction at the hands of her own allies.
Spartan enters service
SUPER (Space Use Performance Enhancing Refit) system for the VF-1 sees it’s first use. It’s performance results are so amazing that it is ordered to mass production and all VF-1’s are to be equipped with this system when assigned to space duty.
VF-1E developed to the combat deficiencies of the Cat’s Eye recon craft,
2010
January
ARMD VIII enters service
A Zentraedi exodus occurs and they seek refuge on board the SDF-1 citing the feelings of non-violence toward human culture (mainly Lynn Minmay’s songs) as their reasons for leaving the Zentraedi fleet.
Grand Cannon I in Alaska is operational.
February
VE-1 developed from the VF-1E. Only real change is the lack of any armaments on the VE-1
First interstellar marriage takes place between human and zentraedi.
Peace treaty signed between Commander Breetia’s forces of Zentraedi and the SDF-1 .
Dolza, the Supreme Commander of the Zentraedi, along with the remainder of the zentraedi forces (approximately 4.5 million ships) defold in earthspace. They immediately fire upon the earth.
In a retaliatory strike Grand Cannon I is fired at the enemy destroying about twenty-five percent of the fleet, but is nearly destroyed by the armada’s second salvo on the earth.
Breetia’s forces along with SDF-1 counterattack Dolza’s forces using what comes to be known as the Minmay offensive.
Dolza’s forces are so caught off guard by the Minmay offensive that they are decimated in the counterattack leaving the rogue zentraedi and the SDF-1 victorious.
Severely damaged the SDF-1 touches down what use to be know as Calgary, Alberta.
Several hundred million (852 565 000 approximately) people survive the holocaust. This is but a fraction of the former population of ten billion plus.
Earth’s restoration is begun with the re-establishment of the UEG.
