Ash’s View:

I looked at Zac who was smiling at me. I turned away and listened to everyone talking. I wasn’t paying attention but I didn’t have n e thing else to do. I watched as Ike walked up to Zac.

“Scoot your butt down.” Ike said laughing.

Zac scooted towards me and said hi.

“Hi.” I replied.

We sat there not saying n e thing for a while. After getting really bored with the conversation that was going on between everyone else Zac got up and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. We started writing notes back and forth. Zac smiled at me and took the paper away and turned in Ike’s direction writing something down. He handed me the paper with a smile. On it, it said…

“Will you go out with me?”

I smiled and put a yes with a heart around it. Not realizing what conversation was going on Zac jumped up and yelled “YES!” Everyone stared at him and I could see his face turning red. He sat back down and tried to hide his face behind me.

1 hour later:
“Well, Zac what was that all about?” Tay asked him.

Zac gave the paper to Tay.

“DUDE!” Tay yelled. “I told ya.”

Everyone now had their attention to the piece of paper in Taylor’s hands. He smiled and handed the paper back to Zac. Zac handed it to me and whispered keep it in my ear. I smiled and started to fold it up when Jules pulled it out of my hand. She read the note and a huge grin spread across her face.

“I told you all, that all that making out would lead to this.” She said.

Our family looked at us with wide eyes.

“JULES!” I yelled.

“I was just joking.” Jules said laughing.

“Can I have the note back?” I asked impatiently.

“Yeah.” She said handing it to me. I folded it up and stuck it in my pocket.

“What was that?” Diana asked Zac.

His face turned red. “It was a note.”

“What kind of note?” Walker asked.

“Just a note.” Zac said smiling at me.

I smiled back and our family quit bugging us. I was so happy but something made me listen to our families conversation. My aunt spoke up and said something. I stopped talking to Zac to listen to what she said.

“Yeah, if I get a better job offer I will have to take the girls with me.” She said.

“What?” I asked.

“We’ll have to move wherever the job is.” She said again.

“When?” I asked.

“I’ll find out if I got it in about a 2 weeks.” Aunt Melanie said.

“Crap.” I said.

“Sorry.” She replied.

“I love Tulsa.” I told her.

“I know you do.” She said.

I laid my head on Zac’s shoulder. After about 5 minutes he got up and grabbed my hand. We walked onto the back porch and sat down on the steps. He smiled at me.

“It’ll be ok.” Zac said.

“I know.” I replied.

“You better.” He said kissing my lips.

I smiled at him when we pulled apart.

“GO ZAC!” Tay and Ike yelled a little to loud.

We turned around to see everyone standing in front of the doors looking at us. Both of our faces turned red and Zac grabbed my hand and we walked back in. My aunt and Diana smiled at each other. My face was still red. I looked down at the ground.

“Don’t worry about them.” Zac said.

“I’m not.” I replied.

1 week later:

I walked down the stairs in a good mood and went to the kitchen. I grabbed a pop tart and began to eat it. I stared at the walls as I heard someone coming down the stairs. Chris walked in and grabbed a box of cereal.

“Sup lil sis?” She asked.

“Nothing.” I replied.

“What are your plans for today?” Chris asked.

“Dunno.” I said.

“I’m gonna be so mad if she gets that job.” Chris said out of nowhere.

“Me too.” I agreed.

“She can’t just come and move us around like that.” She said.

“Nope.” I replied.

“What are you thinking about?!” Chris asked.

“Zac.” I said as I walked out the door.

I could tell that she was smiling at me. I walked over to Zac’s house and rang the doorbell. Ike answered it. He told me that Zac was upstairs, and that I should go wake him up. I walked up the stairs and into Zac’s room. Same as last time that I was in there. I walked up to him and smiled as he slept. He had smiley face boxers on and at that sight I just had to laugh.

“Zac, Cindy Crawford is downstairs.” I said into his ear.

“Where?!” He asked suddenly wide awake.

“Gotcha.” I said laughing.

“Yup.” He said stretching out.

“Nice boxers.” I complimented.

He looked down. “Yeah I know.” His face turned red.

I watched as he walked over to his dresser and grabbed some jeans and pulled them on. I smiled and watched as he came and sat beside me. I looked to the ground. I prayed that my aunt wouldn’t get that job. If she got it that meant I would be separated from Zac. Not just 80 miles but thousands of miles. I didn’t want to think about that though.

“Watcha thinking about?” Zac asked me.

“Jobs.” I replied.

“Oh. Don’t worry about that stupid job. I bet she won’t even get it.” Zac said with a smile.

“Yeah I know. It just keeps popping up in my head though.” I said.

“Ash, don’t worry about it.” Zac said looking into my eyes.

We kissed and then hugged. We decided to go watch a movie in the den, so that took up most of our time. I about fell asleep but Zac woke me up.

1 hour later:

I decided to head home. So I kissed Zac and then headed out the door. When I got home I looked into the living room. Ike and Jules were watching Notting Hill. I walked up to my room that I now shared with Chris. Chris and Tay were in there goofing off.

“Can I come in?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Tay said.

“K good.” I replied.

“Watcha up to?” Chris asked.

“Nothing, just being weird.” I said.

“That’s one thing Zac and Ash have the most in common.” Tay said.

I smiled. I grabbed some paper and pens and walked into Hallie’s room. She wasn’t doing n e thing so I sat down at her desk and began to draw. She didn’t seem to care. After I got bored of that I went to my room and fell asleep.
