We sat and waited for everyone to get up or find their ways back home. When Tay came in and sat down in the living room we just watched. Next Jules came in, she sat in a chair. Soon enough maybe too soon we heard the van pull into the driveway and Ike through the keys on the counter and flopped down beside me. Zac and I just sat there watching what was going on. Chris was in her room doing something or another. Trying not to get involved in this. We just stared in awe. Everyone was mad at somebody. Except for Zac and I.

“Listen u guys..” I said.

“Ash, we don’t want to hear it.” Ike said covering his face.

“Well, kiss my butt cuz if u don’t listen they are going to!” I yelled.

Zac smiled at me.

“Ok, Tay, Jules didn’t know that Ike would blow his top like that.” I said.

“Yeah, and Ike you should’ve heard Taylor out on his story.” Zac added.

“He got his girlfriend pregnant. I heard it.” Ike said.

“Yeah, but did he tell u that he went to mom and dad by himself and told them that he was sorry. He has done everything and here u r griping at him for one mistake that he knows is wrong.” Zac said.

Ike looked at Zac realizing that he was right. Tay knew that Jules didn’t know that Ike would respond like he had.

“You guys get ur point across well.” Ike said.

“That would be the point.” Zac said.

“Thanks.” Tay said giving Zac and I high fives.

Ike and Jules thanked us and went up to Jules’ room. Tay just sat there waiting for someone to say something. As we all knew it would be Zac.

“Well, our good deed for the day is done.” Zac said.

“Yuppers.” I said as he grabbed my hand.

I smiled at him and got up.

“Where ya going?” He asked.

“I don’t know.” I replied.

“Then why did u get up?” Zac asked.

“I don’t know.” I said walking up the stairs.

I listened as I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I knew it was Zac. I stood in the middle of my room looking for something but I couldn’t member what it was. I had lost all thought when I heard Zac. He walked in and smiled at me.

“What are u doing?” He asked.

“Looking for something.” I replied.

“Watcha looking for?” Zac asked.

“I forgot.” I said looking around my room.

“Was it this?” Zac said kissing me.

“Umm.” I said kissing him back. “No.”

“What is your problem?” Zac snapped.

“Nothing. I just can’t member what I was looking for.”

Zac just stared at me, and flopped down onto the bed.

“If you’re going to snap at me for nothing I don’t want to be around you.” I said walking out of the room.

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” Zac said following me down the stairs.

“It means if ur gonna be in a bad mood I don’t want to be around you.” I said.

“Wait.” Zac said right before I slammed a door in his face.

“Hey lil sis.” Ike said.

“Hi.” I replied.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Can u drive me somewhere?” I asked.

“Yeah sure.” Ike replied.

I walked past Zac who was waiting outside the door. Ike and I got in the van, and before I could lock the door Zac jumped into the back. I sighed and told Ike that I would tell him where to go to get to the movies. I was supposed to meet some friends there.

“Ash.” Zac started.

“Don’t talk to me.” I said. “I don’t even know why you’re following me.”

“Ash, I didn’t mean to snap.” Zac said.

“Ike drop me off in front.” I said.

“Ok lil one.” He said.

He pulled up in front of the movies. I looked around for my friends before I got out. When I spotted them I got out and quickly walked over to them. We sat there talking. We had 10 minutes before the movie started.


Zac’s View:
“What’d u do?” Ike asked. “I’ve never seen her this upset.”

I snapped at her. “Big Time.” I replied.

“Well, u better go fix it.” Ike said.

I jumped out of the van and walked up to Ash. She tried her best at ignoring me. I made several attempts to try to get her attention. I listened as one of her friends made a comment.

“Dude! He’s Zac Hanson listen to him.” A girl said.

“Why should I?” Ash asked.

“Because I love you.” I said loud enough that I was sure the whole place heard it.

Everybody gasped when they realized it was me. Everybody that had a camera turned around and began taking pictures left and right.

“Why do you get me into these things?” Ash asked.

“I didn’t mean to.” I said.

She went up to the counter and bought a ticket. I followed and bought one to the same movie. I walked in and caught up with her.

“You know if you’re gonna be like this maybe we shouldn’t be going out!” I yelled across the theater.

Everybody looked at me but I ignored the stares. She stopped dead in her tracks, and turned around. She had tears in her eyes.

“That’s what u’ve wanted all along wasn’t it?” She asked crying.

“I don’t know.” I said stubbornly.

“I can’t believe I wasted all of my love on you.” Ash said. “I loved you. More than anything in this world, I dreamt about u every night that we were apart. And now I know that u didn’t even want to go out with me.”

“I didn’t say I didn’t want to go out with u.” I said.

“Yeah, but you thought it.” Ash said.

I looked at the ground not knowing what to say. By now everyone had heard about me being there and were now taking pictures even more. I watched as a reporter came up to me and asked me some questions. I just ignored him. Ash gave me one last look and turned around and walked past me out of the theater.


Ike’s View:

I watched as Ash got in the back seat of the van. Tears in her eyes. I didn’t know whether I should ask where Zac was or not. I decided I should.

“Where’s Zac?” I asked.

“I don’t know.” She muttered.

“Stay here lil one.” I said.

I got out of the van and went up to the ticket counter. I explained about how I needed to get Zac. They understood and watched as I went into the theater to get Zac. I saw him sitting in a chair near the entrance. I grabbed his arm and pulled him up.

“What the heck happened?!” I asked.

“Everything.” Zac muttered as I led him out.

He looked at the van.

“I’ll walk.” He said stopping.

“No get your bottom in that front seat.” I told him.


Zac’s View:

I got into the van and buckled my seat belt. Stealing a glance at Ash. Her face was covered with tears as she stared out the window. She got up before we started the van and sat in the seat behind us to do something. She took off her necklace and handed it to me.

“It doesn’t mean n e thing to you. It doesn’t mean n e thing to me.” She said getting back in the very back seat.

I watched as she kicked her feet up and put on her headphones. Even though she did have the headphones on I could hear Lucy playing. I looked at the necklace she had given me.


Ash’s View:

I watched as Ike looked back to see what I was doing. He smiled at me when we made eye contact. I didn’t do n e thing. Just sat there.

“You ok lil sis?” Ike asked.

“Not really.” She answered.

“Are you ok?” he asked Zac.

“13 years and I blew it.” He muttered.

“You were always the stupid one of the family.” Ike said laughing.

I through an eraser at him. I didn’t find it funny that he was laughing and I was bawling my eyes out. he looked back at me.

“Come sit behind me Ash.” Ike said.

“No.” I replied.

“Please. Come on.” Ike said. “The worst Zac can do is look at u.”

I gave up and sat in the seat behind him.

“What happened?” He asked.

“It doesn’t matter.” I said.

“Why doesn’t it matter?” Ike asked.

“Because he never loved me. He said it so many times then I find out that he never even wanted to go out with me.” I said looking at Zac. He looked out the window.

“N e thing else?” Ike asked.

“Yeah, your brother has a bad attitude.” I added.

“I coulda told u that.” He said.

We got to the house and I jumped out of the van and ran up to my room. I was so mad and sad at the same time. I kicked off my shoes and threw them at the wall. I took all of the pictures of Zac that I had and shoved them into a box with the letters. I fell asleep really fast.
