"I might as well let you go, Isaac is just in the other room you know." she swooned. Pathetic, Taylor thought. She acts like she's dating me, but she's kissing Isaac.
"Bu-bye." he replied quickly, making sure to hang up before she could respond. As soon as he disconnected, the phone rang. "Hello?" he asked, thinking it was Serenity. I closed my eyes momenterialy, then smiled to myself.
"I guess you were expecting Serenity, huh?" I laughed. He smiled, I knew he did.
"No way. I already talked to her..ugh!" he groaned. I laughed again, this time I enjoyed it.
"I called to tell you,..I'm leaving for New York tomorrow." I admitted. That was the reason I called him, and I wanted to see what he had to say about me hitting Serenity. I rummaged through my closet, until I found my pink daisy dress. On the first day at work I'll wear this..it's appealing., I told myself with a smile.
"Why so soon? What about the party for Mackenzie? He's really looking forward to having you come. That's all he talks about anymore.- '"Amanda will do this..."','"Amanda and I are..."','"Mandie is the greatest Tay..."' It just gets annoying after a while." he said. I felt weird at that moment, but I quickly ignored it.
"I'm sorry Taylor. This is just more important to me right now..-" I stopped short, and before I correct myself, Tay jumped in.
"More important then Mackenzie, us-your family,..more important then me?" he cried, and then hung up. The line went dead. I listened to the silence, until it started to make a beeping noise. Then, I hung up.
"Great. What a day." I said softly aloud. I looked around my room, and suddenly, Alyson popped into my head. "I wonder what she's up to." I said, dialing her number. The California number that is.
*~*~* Alyson wiped two tears away, just as the phone rang. She sighed heavily, and since she knew no one was home, she picked up the phone. "Hello?" she asked, her voice cracking. I knew she had been crying.
"Hi!" I said. Alyson smiled in relief, and she laughed.
"How have you been?" she knew it was me. I smiled.
"Horrible. Things have been so out of wack lately, its just nuts!" I replied. Alyson rolled over onto her back, and rested her head on her pillow. I knew her mind wasn't on me..it was still on Zac. "He left her ya know." I said, instantly regretting it.
"What? Who?" she asked. Alyson knew who I was talking about, and she knew she wanted to know. Everything.
"Zac. After you left, he told Desiere off.," I paused dramatically; then continued, "He's been so...sad." I lied. Its not that I was actually watching him, I only noticed that he wasn't himself, he just wasn't sad. Like, horribly sad.
"Good. He made..." she trailed off, "does he miss me?" she asked. I laughed. What was I suppose to say?
"He must." I demanded. This conversation was going nowhere..fast. I better end it..soon. "Hey, Al, I gotta let you go, Shane's here." I lied. Alyson gasped.
"Shane? What are you doing with Shane?" she asked. Opps, wrong thing to say.
"Yeah um..Tay and I..we aren't exactly on good grounds right now..," I trailed off, "let's just say.., its over." I said, before I slowly hung up the phone.
*~*~* Alyson hung up the phone, her mouth 0d. She couldn't believe what she just heard. "Over?" she whispered. Their over? she thought. She got off her bed and looked herself in the mirror. "Everything's over. Just like Zac..and me. Over." she bitterly said aloud, before pulling off her shirt and slipping on a see-through purple tank-top. As she turned to leave the house, she said, "At least I..don't have to be over..just used."
