HOW THE ASSOCIATION BEGAN 
The 50 to 100 people, who attended the event, were enthusiastic the idea of an alumni association.
 
Frank Cochran (Class of 1944) was elected President and Carolyn Sutton Clark (Class of 1950) was elected Vice-President.
 
A steering committee was formed to plan the reunions with Dale Cotham (Class of 1962) elected to head the steering committee.
 
 From then on the CHS Alumni Association and the reunions have been a great success.

Patti Farris Brandle (Class of 1949) and Carolyn Sutton Clark (Class of 1950) worked about a year or more getting the graduates addresses together. It was quite a task, as they called lots of relatives and friends and wrote letters to try to find all the people. Carolyn says that "Patti is really the backbone of the reunions" and that she "really should be paid for all she does all year."

Esther Carter (Class of 1948) and Patti take care of all the registrations, etc.
