July 2002 |
After driving a 3 mile stretch around big ben in an hour - we finally got on the road to Torquay - with high hopes of the quality of the trip continuing to improve. |
Apparently this looks like Monte Carlo, but having never been there, i cant argue with it. The weather was great, much warmer than at home. We arrived at our campsite to read the sign, families and mixed couples only - and being 5 of us, all guys, i’d hate to think which of the two they thought we were... |
|
Anyway the campsite was practically ours, unlike the bustling pool party style photo’s we saw on their website. To say we were dissapointed was an understatement, it was the middle of July, and our campsite was empty. But hey, we still had beer. |
Soon it was time for some swimming pool action shots |
followed by some table football antics. Gordon and |
Bolton contested the fuzeball final, and with Bolton |
seemingly defeated, one last ball appeared in the table, |
Bolton knew he had only one choise - kill Gordon, and |
take the point to draw. |
|
Then it was doubles, the champtions, Bolton and |
Gordon, vs the losers, Dave and Rory. Somehow, the |
champions lost in a nail biting finish. |
