On the way back down the mountain and David Allan was still going topless and exciting all the mountain women. For a while he was up with the rest of us but all of a sudden he fell away again, and almost every person on the mountain who somehow hadn’t passed up on our 4 and a half hour accent, passed us no problem on the way back down.

We realised that Jack was with us in spirit

The descent was long and on the way down you appreciate more the achievement that we had just done. It’s a loooooong walk and it took us and hour and a half just to back down the rocky path to the waterfall. From there we took one of several of Fergie’s “short cuts” which turned out to me more like “not short cuts.”

We got to the bottom and began to think about what we had just done. We were very proud, not because we had climbed the highest mountain in the UK, but because we had got Deko to the top too!
