Colors- The colors of the rainbow give me different impressions.
Each has its own mood, its own personality.
Red is the first of the primary colors. It is related to the heart,
love, blood- basically life. Red is bright, yet not full of light
like yellow. Red makes me feel warm and happy; somewhat aware of
what is going on. It is not exactly a feeling of joy, but
awareness of life.
Yellow is the sun, light, the source of all life. It makes people
feel happy, young, carefree. It gives off a certain glow that
most colors don't have. Yet, in a great quantity, yellow can be
overwhelming.
Then there's blue. Blue is sky; blue is water. It can be happy,
or it can be sad. Mostly, blue is depressing and "down". But blue
in its better form represents parts of the Earth. Blue can be
a good color. It's my favorite.
Combining colors can change perspectives. Orange is oranges. Isn't
it strange that oranges are orange, lemons are lemon colored,
limes are lime. Why aren't apples apple? Which came first in
the first place?
It's like the chicken and the egg. Of course the chicken came
first because animals came before anything, but what about the
peanut and the shell? And how do they relate to the color
and the fruit?
Well, the fruit came before the color, but the name, well, I
don't know. Language is a funny thing. So many ideas, so many
meanings and curiosities. It's so hard to figure it out, yet
still intriguing.
