stillness pervades the room as i sit
and think
all the energy seems to be engulfed
in an envelope of silence
the darkness and
light play against the wall
their sacred dance shared with
not a word, not a sound
my thoughts go back as i smell
the air a light faint memory upon
it
and i think in silence of past days
when i was somewhere else;
without a sound
and i see a shadow flicker
across my mind
the wall of a room in my head
but still there isnot a word not a sound
i am by myself
a breeze blows outside
opening a window with a crash
as the stillness is broken
