liver.mp3 - my dark star shahrul - vox gt - words, guitars, programming thomas - wurlitzer patch, guitars, solo brian - bass kunz - recording, post production, making it fall in place we've been rehearsing these four songs and working titles : egyption sounding song : we got this one written in one day, and we've been practicing it. it probably sounds pseudoly middle eastern. it's pretty driving and gives me cramps when i play bass. thomas and gt do a take on vocal harmoney for this one penetrate : thomas wrote this song, and i think we have a good final version of wot we want it to sound like. interesting arrangement too. overkill : i really love the introduction for this one. originally, gt used an ebow to play something very dissonant, and kunz backs him up with a strong, steady drum take. after two bars, thomas and i come in really strong. my bass is droning while thomas cranks up the rhythem work. gt plays some delay-ish single notes that really add an edge. the breakdown is also super melodic. new technology : a pretty old song. but still, i reckon it sounds great live and we enjoy playing it. a gt number, and it really shows. kunz does tippy beats for this, and it was going thru a phase where we wondered if we could do some fusion dance thing. it dosent sound so electronic, and i think it makes an interesting rock song. |
