“Click!” Isaac shut his suitcase for tomorrow.
It was just about nearing 10:30 PM Los Angeles time. Currently, it was 7:30 PM in Miami, Florida, where they were heading tomorrow. Miami was such a fun place, and Ike couldn’t wait to get there, but for now, he wanted to sleep.
As Ike was rolling down the sheets to his bed, he managed to mumble, “G’night, Tay.”
Tay had just entered the room after taking a nice long shower. He didn’t want to have to bother taking one early tomorrow morning before he had to leave.
“No, wait,” Tay rang out his hair with a towel, “you can’t go to sleep, yet! I gotta talk to you!”
“Again?” whined Isaac, wearily.
“Yeah, it’ll only take a minute, I promise,“ pleaded poor Taylor.
“Alright, I’m gonna watch the clock,” his older brother told him, “and if you are still talking by 11, I’m turning around and going to sleep.”
“Okay, okay…”
“Well, what’s the problem?” asked Ike, stubbornly.
“I’m kinda worried about Victoria and I,” he started to explain.
Isaac, his older brother looked confused, and inquired, “Um, why?”
As Tay hopped into bed, he sighed, “When we were back in Tulsa last time, she wasn’t too happy about my hair. After she saw it, she seemed kinda distant from me.”
Ike just rolled his eyes as he looked at his little brother, “Tayles, you worry way too much, you know that?”
Tay kept bugging Ike about his situation, “I’m serious!”
“Well,” Ike began advising his younger brother, “let me say something. Of she breaks up with you because of your haircut, then you weren’t meant to be because that is honestly the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!”
Taylor knew that sadly, his elder brother had a point. But, how could something so wrong feel so right? He just didn’t understand that.
“But,” Taylor argued, sitting up, “I love her.”
“What if she doesn’t love you?”
That single comment alone startled Tay, and he wasn’t exactly sure how to respond to it. What if there was truth to what his brother was telling him?
This silence was agony, so Isaac concluded, “Look, I’m more than positive that you are having a neurotic fit over nothing. Go to sleep, Tay…sheesh!”
“Alright, whatever, Ike,” Taylor shrugged off, as he reached for the light in his room one last time and switched it off, blackening the room.
Soon after the lights were off, all that was heard in the room was Isaa’c and Zac’s rhythmic breathing…and Taylor’s tossing and turning. It was going to be impossible for him to sleep tonight. He was too anxious. He just couldn’t lose Victoria over such a stupid thing. There was just no way. Also, to top it off, he was traveling over 3000 miles tomorrow to do his mixing. The hectic part of his life never stopped. He could only hope that one day, things would calm down. But, he seriously doubted himself that the day would ever come. Well, tomorrow was a new day, that brought new events…just new hectic ones, that’s all.
