A Great Legend

Passed away on May 5, 2006.
God may rest his soul in peace and bless him with eternal bliss.
He was truly a genius and a great legend
whose death has left a void that no other music director can fill.

He was, without any iota of doubt,
the tallest figure among his contemporaries,
the most talented and the greatest composer of all times.

You may call him as
the Kohinoor of Indian music
or
the grammar book for the melodious filmi songs
or
whatever you like.

The fact of the matter is that
music directors will come and go
but
Naushad will continue to live as
an outstanding maestro in the depth of our hearts.
