Trip to the Oregon Coast 2008

Patricia and I headed for the Oregon Coast on Sunday July 27th at about 2 PM. It was a very warm day. Our destination today is McMinnville to spend the night with a very dear friend that I had not seen in about 8 years. My how the time flys! Her two daughters, Tracie and Tammie and their friend Audry showed up and we had a great time. I only wished it had lasted longer.

Tracie, Tammie and their Mom, Lori.

Don't know what was funny, but I love this photo.

Very nice.

I finally made friends with Lori's little pomeranian, Mitsy. She is a doll and I really liked her alot.

A very long time coming. Need more visits together.

LINCOLN CITY: Day 2

Upon arriving in Lincoln City, we had to go right to the beach, take some pics, use the facilities, and then I had to get my feet wet! Tradition for me, is to always get my feet wet the first time I see the ocean when I go to the coast.

Me

Petunias of an unusual color.

Snack Time!

CANON BEACH: Day 2

On our way north to Long Beach we made a stop in Canon Beach and got our feet wet there also. The beach goes on forever, and a person can walk way out into the ocean and only be waist high in the water. The water was pretty nice this day. It had been hot and so it was refreshing. Enjoy the photos of Patricia and I on the beach.

ROCKAWAY: Day 2

On the way through Rockaway, we stopped at my favorite store on the edge of town and picked up a few things. As we left the store to head north a steam engine came through town.

ASTORIA: Day 2

We drove through Seaside and did not stop on our way north. We did not stop in Astoria either but on the way through Patricia took some photos. We did make one stop and that is by the wood carving you see, and the Astoria sign. So it was quick.

Lots of historical houses in Astoria similar to this one.

Patricia was quite creative in getting this shot of ships on the Columbia River.
