--------------------
The pyros go off and as usual Styles welcomes us to the show and says we have one hell of a show tonight and just on that note Taker's music hits and he comes down to the ring and he seems pretty pissed off. Heenan adds that he's glad he's here and not there. Taker grabs a mic and says that Piper had to go that extra mile and stick his nose in his business. You think cause you cost me a match, used your authority you're some kind of bad ass. Well Piper, here's a reality check for your dumbass, you're not. The fact of the matter is that you just made it worse, and tonight I'll get my revenge. You don't do that to the Dead Man without retribution. The bagpipes hit and Piper comes out. They go face to face but don't trade blows. Piper says that he had to right the wrong, and that was putting his hands on him. I don't take anyone's shit, not even yours. I had to do what I had to do. Taker says that isn't important, I want your ass in the ring tonight. Piper says he'd usually oblige, but he has Commissioner duties and doesn't wrestle. However, if you want to wrestle so bad, you have a match tonight. It'll be you and Mr. Perfect taking on Hulk Hogan and....Stone Cold Steve Austin. The crowd erupts. Taker says that's good, cause he'll take them both to school and back. Piper laughs, and says just to make things fair, he'll ref the match. Taker yells at Piper, but then has a grin on his face, and leaves the ring. -5 minutes-

Norman Smiley is walking backstage. He sees Brutus Beefcake, Mr. Fuji and Dusty Rhodes talking. He makes fun of Beefcake's clothes, hair and says he could easily beat him and then does the big wiggle. Beefcake laughs and challenges him to a hardcore match. He promises that you still can't beat the blade..-2 minutes-

Commercial

Styles welcomes us back to the show and Gertner says that Piper never knows when to quit. He's just slowly handing Taker his ass. Heenan says never mind that, the enthralling Beefcake/Smiley match is next and Styles wonders how Beefcake will adjust to a hardcore match setting. Smiley is heading to the ring now, taunting the fans and doing the big wiggle. He goes under the ring and grabs a chair, fire extinguisher and trash can lids. Beefcake comes out to a decent reaction and Smiley charges him and attempts some right hands but are blocked and Beefcake retaliates with some of his own. He whips him into the ropes and executes a high knee. He hits a couple elbows before working applying an armbar. Smiley fights it off, elbows him and hits an uppercut. He picks up a lid and nails Beefcake with it, for a 2 count. Smiley sends Beefcake to the corner and runs at him with a chair but Beefcake gets a foot up and Smiley goes down. Beefcake sprays Smiley with the extinguisher and Smiley is dazed, Beefcake sends him to the ropes and applies the sleeper, and Smiley is out. After the match Muta comes from the crowd and sprays Beefcake with the Green Mist, and then lifts him up and hits a screwdriver. -4 minutes-

Heenan says that served Beefcake right for challenging Smiley and laughs at Beefcake knocked out. Styles says that screwdriver was just wicked and Gertner says he should spray White Mist. Styles calls him a sick bastard and we're back to the action, as Styles announces the next match is a returning Sid taking on Val Venis. Venis is out first, and says he won't make a lucky lady's dreams come true cuz he has to deal with a giant bastard like Sid. Sid comes out, proclaiming his masterness and ruling of the world. Venis charges and the bell is sounded. He pounds away on him and Sid no sells it and laughs. They lock up and Venis rakes the eyes, and hits some punches, kicks him in the stomach and hits the ropes to attempt a kneelift. Sid evades it and nails a clothesline. Sid picks him up, hammers away and whips Venis to the ropes and hits a back body drop. He plays the crowd, and they pop. Sid goes for the powerbomb early but Venis counters and sends Sid over his head. Venis stomps madly at him, and hits a kneedrop. He chokes him but the ref breaks it up. Venis argues with the ref before going back to work on Sid. He then whips him to the ropes and hits his double knee move. He scoop slams Sid and goes for the Money Shot. Sid recovers though and throws him off. Clothesline, followed by another one. He picks him up and hits a side slam. 2 count. Sid whips Venis into the ropes and nails a big boot. Backstage now is Jake Roberts. Lilian Garcia asks him if Stasiak is the guy he's been talking about. Jake laughs and says that you just never know. To get places he says you have to keep low, strike when it's less expected and never let down your guard. That's why the Snake is so dangerous. Tonight, Stasiak you're just the rat that gets eaten by the Snake and he still tends to finish some business and most of all, trust me. -2 minutes-

Gertner thinks that snakes aren't dangerous and Styles says he'll be sure to tell Jake that, and Gertner calls Styles a greasy haired geekbreath. Heenan says that's an insult to all the greasy haired geekbreaths out there. Styles tells them to get their lips off each other's asses and focus on calling the next match, which is Nova vs La Parka. Nova gets a quick start with some kicks followed by a leg sweep. Nova follows it up with a flip splash for a 2 count. Nova whips him into the ropes and attempts a headscissor but La Parka blocks it and hits a front face slam. He whips Nova into the corner and does a climb up kick to the head. He props him up on the top turnbuckle and lands a superplex. He does his little dance to a mixed crowd reaction. He goes to hit a spin kick but Nova ducks and hits a swinging neckbreaker. He goes to the tope and hits a missile dropkick for a 2 count. Nova then goes for an inverted DDT but La Parka fights it off and executes a bodyslam, followed a big elbow drop. He goes to the top and attempts a crossbody but the momentum carrys La Parka over for a long 2 count. Styles says that this match won't end with the way these guys are going at it. La Parka hits a snap suplex and then applies a chin lock. Nova seems to be down and out but the crowd gets behind him and slowly fights it off, they're both up and Nova hits some elbows, and hits a spinning heel kick. Nova trys for the inverted DDT but before he tries to apply it La Parka rakes the eyes and hits a hurricarana but doesn't put him away. La Parka is pissed off and goes to the outside for a chair but the ref pulls it away and Nova kicks La Parka and lands a tornado DDT for the win. After the match Stevie Richards is seen by the entrance staring Nova down. -9 minutes-

Backstage with Christian now. He says that there's no one in WCW who can challenge him for his IC title, no one is worthy of it. He says since he's such a fighting and role model champion, he's issuing an open challenge for any reekazoid to wrestle him for his IC title. Just before he leaves, Sonny Onoo walks up and says he has a challenger for him. Christian laughs and says that you can't challenge him, you're a loser like all the rest of these fans. Onoo laughs and says that his challenger is right behind him actually, and when Christian turns around, Ernest Miller nails him with a Feliner and Miller says that he's the greatest, and someone better call his momma because tonight he's going to whoop somebody, and take his title. Ernest and Onoo do a little dancing afterwards while Christian is still down. -2 minutes-

Commercial Heenan says that Miller has to wrestle as good as he dances tonight. Gertner says that he has a snowball's chance in hell then. Styles ignores them both and some footage of last week's show where David Flair cost Lex Luger his match against Val Venis and Luger demanded a match with him, but oddly Piper booked him against Goldust tonight. As that's said Goldust makes his way down to the ring which prompts a nonchalant gay joke by Gertner. David Flair comes out, and by his side is none other than Ted Dibiase. Before the match Dibiase cuts a short promo saying that he's David's mentor and will aid him in getting to the top. Goldust and Flair lock up and Goldust overpowers Flair and sends him down. He does his usual taunt and Flair is back up. Goldust winds his arm up and gives a couple elbows. Goldust sends him to the ropes and hits an armdrag. Lands a fistdrop for a 2 count. Flair rolls out of the ring and talks with Dibiase, and he's back in. Flair ducks a clothesline attempt and hits some right hands and runs to the ropes but Goldust gives him a big elbow to the head. He whips Flair into the ropes and executes his buttdrop takedown for a 2 count. He sets Flair up for the Shattered Dreams but Dibiase stops it. Goldust goes after Dibiase but Flair catches him with a dropkick sending him out of the ring. Flair whips Goldust into the stairs. He rams him into the ringpost before sending him back in. Long 2 count. He goes to apply the Figure Four but Luger runs out and takes out Dibiase. Flair baseball slides Luger into the railing but Goldust grabs him and puts him into the curtain call for the win. Luger puts Flair in the Torture Rack afterwards but Dibiase tries in vain to save him but Goldust/Luger are too much. -4 minutes-

Shawn Stasiak comes out to the ring and takes the mic and says that he shouldn't be wrestling Jake tonight and Jake's music hits and a loud pop for Jake. He has the bag with him and slides into the ring. Stasiak stomps on him as the bell rings. He hits some right hands, and an uppercut which sends Jake retreating. They lock up but Jake this time works on Stasiak's arm a bit. He whips him to the ropes and lands a back body drop. Stasiak fights back with some forearm shots but is picked up and slammed. He executes a short arm clothesline, then to the crowd's delight signals for a DDT. Stasiak though blocks the attempt and hits a suplex. He then hits the ropes and does a knee lift. Jake is dazed, and Stasiak whips him into the corner but trips while running to it and Jake stalks him while he gets up, lands an inverted atomic drop and Stasiak staggers right back to Jake and hits the DDT for the victory. In usual Jake fashion, he throws Damian onto Stasiak and he's rolling around in funny fear and Jake laughs at him, then pulls Damian off. He grabs a mic and says that in due time, the business will be finished. -6 minutes-

Mean Gene is with Macho Man and Kane. He asks if they've prepared for their match and Savage asks who they're facing again. Gene says the Hardys and Savage laughs and says it's more like the Hardlys. Cause you see last week we proved that we're the best tag team here, and even Piper cheap shotting us with the chair won't put us down. Tonight they'll make an example of them. Gene asks why Kane sided with his brother once again. He says he got nowhere being the gentle do good giant, he wants notoriety and to be known as a force. He'll kick ass, no matter whose it is. Macho Man says a loud 'DIG IT' and Mean Gene is looking up at Kane. -2 minutes-

Commercial

After a little debating, Richards agrees and they walk out. -2 minutes-

Styles says Kanyon has some guts challenging Saturn/Richards but Saturn thinks he can handle it, we'll see. Next is the IC title match.
