ECW Open. Foley is shown on screen. NOT in the ring thank you. He announces that tonight will be the start off point for the TV Title Tournament. "And with that, lets get it on!" He bangs gavel as we go to ringside.

Shannon Thoore is already in the ring. LWO music hits and out comes Eddie Guerrero. JR makes the comment that this match, even in cruiser standards, is uneven. Konnan tells JR to shut up and peel his potatos. JR then asks his he likes his potatos with Bar B Que sauce and Cyrus proceeds to bang his head on the announce table. Match starts off with a tie up. Eddie gets a kick in to the gut. From there Eddie takes over. Arm drag into an armbar. Rope break by Thoore. Eddie continues to work Thoore's arm with a couple of shoulder breakers. Thoore tries to reverses it into a backflip which Eddie replies to with a sweep kick. Eddie kicks him in the head and does his infamous turnbuckle taunt. Shannon kips up and runs toward Eddie who quickly bails out of the ring. He taunts the fans and turns around right in time to recieve a Thoore Plancha. Shannon picks his ass up and tosses him in the ring. But as soon as he sticks his head in he recieves a stiff shot to the head from Eddie's boot. Shannon is laid out and Eddie goes to the apron to deliver his rolling senton. That is until Dean Malenko leaps out of the crowd, pulls him off the apron and clubs him a good couple of times. He screams something about "finishing it" and leaves Eddie to get into the ring. Eddie sticks his head through the second and third ropes and recieves a Guillotine Leg drop from Thoore. With some help from Malenko, Shannon gets Eddie in the ring and covers him for the win and the chance to advance to the next round. Dean walks back out the ramp holding Shannon's hand up high as Eddie looks pissed and has a tantrum. 15 Minutes.

Backstage we have RVD and Sharmel. "RVD, we all know your illustrious matches with the TV title, so why is it that you've not entered the Tournament?" "Sharmel, its simple. Fans want to see the Whole F'N Show with the Whole F'N Belts. Losers like Edge can go for that title all they want. That's why I'll be putting away Regal for the #1 contendership for Backlash." Lesnar and Benjamin flank RVD and Regal walks up and reminds RVD that "While you may be the Whole F'N Show sunshine, I've got the power of the punch. And when that hits, the Whole F'N Show will be cancelled, just like a bad NBC sitcom about all white friends." 3 Minutes.

FBI music hits. Cyrus declares this will be the second match for the TV Title and it'll be a little interesting, but not as interesting as JR wanting to use his Bar B Que sauce on Konnan's potatos. JR agrees in saying that everyone in ECW is given the chance to excell and that with that in mind Foley booked this match to try it out with the tag teams. Lesnar arrives with Benjamin. Guido steps up and Benjamin has a hearty chuckle. He points at Guido and buries his face in the turnbuckle laughing. That is until Guido dropkicks his knee. Lesnar rises up pissed as hell. He picks up Guido and tosses him into the turnbuckle. Three chops. He then picks him up by the neck and tosses him across the ring. Guido holds his neck in surprise as Lesnar rushes him. Using the Spider-Man psychology Guido leapfrogs him and Lesnar runs head first into a turnbuckle. Guido grabs his leg and quickly tries to slap on a grapevine. Too bad Lesnar is still half standing and he kicks him off. Lesnar gives Guido a swift kick to the gut and triple powerbombs him. Lesnar slowly advances towards the top of the turnbuckle to try and pull off his Shooting star press. Tony quickly shakes Guido awake and as Lesnar comes down for his shooting star the two strafe and slap on double fujiwara armbars as Lesnar lands. Benjamin gets in the ring but Tony releases his armbar and attends to him by spearing him outside the ring. Lesnar tries to wrestle Guido off his arm but he won't let go. Guido grapples into a full armbar. With Guido across his chest, Lesnar tries something supremely stupid and stands up. And just like Frank Shamrock, Guido pulls off a "Six Seconds Magic" armbar and with the weight on his arm Lesnar taps. Guido advances to the next round. 15 minutes

Focus in on the Sinsister Minister, Hugh Morrus and Vampiro sitting around a table. Camera flashes real quick to a sign reading: WCW can KEEP Headbanger Raven! We've got Vampiro. Flash back. "You know Hugh, I just hate Funkamaniacs. A derivative gimmick off of a WCW has-been just doesn't float well with me. And in fact, I wouldn't mind lighting the dumb bastard on fire. How does that sound to you Hugh." Hugh ticks, hits himself, and smiles. "Atta boy Hugh! And Funk, don't you forget...you made yourself a date...with the devil!" As the Minister laughs we see Funk and Hart staring into the monitor watching. "Duuude, Jimmy that's some SERIOUS evil Bruther!" "Funkster baby! Don't worry, I've got all we need to put those freaks away for good" He turns his back to the camera, opens up a case and a glowing light appears on Funk. "Duuude, you are so riiiight!" 5 minutes.

Crowbar's music hits. Fan holds up a sign that reads: DAPHNEY: GIVE HER BACK!!! Crowbar points to the sign and points to the camera. Out next is Jerry Lynn. Cyrus asks JR what the hell he was thinking when they originally let him go. JR comments that they just wanted to keep him from going to WCW...but when they bougth WCW they didn't need Jerry Lynn. So Ross did the only right thing and fired him right as they were making a cruiserweight division. Cyrus asks why he's all the sudden being cheered as the face announcer. Match kicks off with a series of go behinds and snapmares. Arm drags by Lynn followed up with a legdrop. Lynn tries to pin, but Crowbar kicks out. Tie up again into a side headlock, irish whip into a stiff clothesline by Crowbar. Crowbar tries to hit a Asai Moonsault but Lynn is up and he turns it into a schoolboy. Kick out. Back up, Crowbar knocks Jerry Lynn over the top ropes. Follows him out and whips him into the guard rails. Running splash and they spill into the crowd. Lynn comes back with a chair knocking Crowbar back over the railing. Lynn follows up with a legdrop from off the guardrail. He pulls Crowbar up by the hair but Crowbar reverses into a russian legsweep. Crowbar picks Lynn up and attempts to go for a powerbomb through a table. Lynn stumbles down and hits the leg sweep. He picks up Crowbar and tosses him into the ring. Lynn jumps up on the apron with a chair and tosses it hitting Crowbar in the head. Lynn his a springboard dropkick on the dazed Crowbar. Lynn scoops him up, and hits a cradle piledriver on the chair for the 3 Count. 10 minutes. Lynn advances.

We cut to the backstage with Coach and the West Hollywood Blondes. Coach: "Lenny, Lodi we both know that...mmmph!" Lenny sticks his lollypop in Coach's mouth then points to Lodi who holds up the sign: We own ALL their ASSES Coach! Lenny smiles and looks at the camera while nodding veeery slowly. 1 minute

Hurricane comes to the ring. He does his usual pose and calls out his soon to be vanquished foe! LWO hits as the camera is tinted red white and green (production children!) Chavo slowly struts down to the ring. Match starts off with a tie up into a side headlock on Chavo. Chavo pushes Hurricane into the ropes and Hurricane comes back with a shoulder block. Hurricane poses, goes back off the ropes again, and runs into a drop toe hold by Chavo. Chavo pivots around goes for the first cover. 2 count.Hurricane and Chavo are both up, Chavo tries going for a leg but Hurricane avoids the attempt. Chavo rushes him and knocks him out of the ring. Chavo makes a suicide dive to the outside. He picks up Hurricane but gets a gutshot instead. Two, three and Hurricane is up. The stumble back into the ring. Chavo tries to slap on a side headlock but Hurricane quickle reverses it into a Nightmare on Helms Street. Helms ascends to the top rope, but out the crowd runs Corino. He pulls out Hurricane's feet and Hurricane busts his nads on the turnbuckle. Chavo takes advantage and delivers a top rope brainbuster to get the pinfall. Chavo will advance. Chavo celebrates but turns around into a chairshot from Douglas.

Douglas gets a mic: "Corino you worthless shit! You fucking know that was my damned spot! What the fuck is your problem kid?!" Corino gets into the ring and gets in Douglas' face. "My problem, Shane, is that you're a dumbshit just like the rest of the hick morons in the crowd! You think you're so bad ass because you were the top ECW heel. Well I've got news for you pal, the old school hero is here to show you how to truly be a heel!" Douglas rips off his shirt "Well if you think you're the best damn heel here bring it on kid!" Corino folds his arms: "Nah." And he casually walks out. Douglas flips out, punches a fan and leaves. 15 minutes.

West Hollywood Blondes make their way out. Lenny comes and sits on the corner of the table near Cyrus and Konnan. He offers them a lollypop. Konnan refers them to JR who said he likes Bar B Que on his potatos. Lodi holds up a sign: "Johnny Peels Potatos!" He then holds up another sign. "Kimba I uh mean Simba Sucks!" Lenny twirls his hair until the Kai En Tai music hits. Taka and Funaki appear accompanied by Dick Togo. Taka: You! Fairy Boys! Know that your time has come to an end! We, the Japanese Menace, are just the beginning! And tonight you will find out why, because we are EEEEEEEEEVIL!!! Funaki: Indeeeeeed. Dick: HO HO HO HO HOOOOO! Funaki runs to the ring and gets the 3D/Bulldog and gets pinned. Taka and Dick's jaws drop and the WHB embrace and dance around the ring. 3 minutes.

RVD's music hits. He takes, as it should be, a good five minutes to showboat in the ring. JR wonders why they have to go through this, and Cyrus counters with wondering why he had to sit through Stephanie talk for twenty minutes. JR is silenced. Regal's music hits and does his usual strut to the ring. Match starts off with a tie up with Regal hitting a suplex. He immediately goes into an armbar to do as much damage as he can early on. RVD struggles out of the armbar and kips up. Roundhouse kick to the face and Regal is down. Moonsault into a cover. 2 count. Regal gives a few stiff elbows to the face and a knee to the gut. He goes for his Tiger Driver but RVD reverses it into a northern lights suplex bridge pin. Two count. RVD gets another kick to Regal's head, and jumps up on the turnbuckle. Regal in desperation lunges and hits the turnbuckle knocking RVD. He gets a superplex off. As both are recovering RVD gets up and hits his Rolling Thunder. RVD poses as Regal is struggling, but the lights go out. The crowd starts chanting Sabu! Sabu! Sabu! Then a voice from the mic gets on and says NO you idiots! As the lights come on RVD is drenched in BLOOD. Not red liquid...BLOOD Cyrus points out to JR. RVD is disgusted and turns around right into the power of the punch. Regal barely puts one toe on RVD and gets the pin. Regal is the #1 contender for Backlash. He waves and exits. RVD slowly recovers and is disgusted. We switch to a grinning shot of a maniacal looking Edge. "RVD, you thought the Intercontinental Loss was just a fluke with you and me? Think again *cackles and leans in towards the camera* because your pain is just the beginning. You're never gonna stop Edge." Fade to black. 18 minutes.
