Oh... My... God... a Reality check that's on topic? Don't worry, I'll be back to ranting soon.
1.Christ did the DDP/Undertaker "confrontation" piss me off... oh it's true, it's DAMN true. Over an hours worth of vignettes, all those stupid Taker promos, and the time Sara's stalking cut out of the KOTR (which could've been given to a Tajiri match!) and all we get is a super slow paced brawl and DDP walking out as an ending. As Jack_Torrance might say, Piss on the guy who booked this bollocks.
2.The tournament was predictable, but it's Edge's time, he should be given a chance to shine. And here's hoping Christian doesn't go the way of Marty Jannety. That would reek of nonpushification.
It would be more bogus than a Ric Steiner match. Totally.
3.Shane and Kurt put on a great match, but let me get this straight, Shane (according to kayfabe) is the boss of an entire federation worth of wrestlers, who find it necessary to cost Saturn a match, but when the guy who signs their checks is getting slammed through "glass" they do nothing? Riiiiight. Makes perfect sense. WHERE THE HELL WAS SHANE HELMS? LANCE STORM? BOOKER T? KANYON? LASH LEROUX? ANYBODY? Screw it. Kudos to Shane for continuing to go after being dropped on his head though, I thought he broke his neck.
4.Great ending to the main event. Really. Made me think I was watching a Goldberg vs. Sid match. It takes a special kind of sh!t to do that. Benoit hits a move on Jericho, and Austin pins Benoit. The logic train has derailed, there were no survivors. Jericho is again denied his time in the spotlight as WWF Champ. With Rock coming back soon, and Booker T in the picture, that spotlight is sadly, likely to be far away from the present.
5.Alright, I'd give this a 5. And Shane and Edge earned 3 of that. The Lightheavyweight match served only to remind me of how much I miss seeing Juvi, Rey, and Kidman go. The only thing I can really complain about is that the Raw and Smackdowns of the past few weeks were better than the KOTR. All and all, it was alright. And that's saying a lot seeing as how I've seen Kevin Sullivan Booked Thunders better than KOTR 2000. I mean Christ! I almost stopped watching the WWF after that. But I digress, alls well that ends well.
