Michael and Mark plug the main event tonight, Kidman and Funaki vs. Jamie Knoble and Tajiri.
We're shown clips of Rey Rey and Angle over the past few weeks and then a plug for SummerSlam.
John Cena vs. D-Von Dudley
Cena pulls off the win with a roll-up. Average match. *** stars.
The card for SummerSlam is shown.
Knoble and Tajiri vs. Kidman and Funaki
Funaki countered Tajiri's patented kick into a backslide for the 1-2-3. *** and half stars.
Overall, average show. A 6 out of 10.
First time I'm actually writing a review…Woopty Doo…And I DIDN'T fall asleep...
So, on with the show. First Segment started off with the wrestlers going to Australia. They showed some Clips of Kurt Angle, Lance Storm, and Christian exchanging money, throwing boomerangs, looking at Kuala Bears (Kurt really dug the koalas) , and them just having a craptacular time altogether.
Kurt:this isn't real money. This 20 is like 1 American.
Christian:Yeah Really.
Kurt:What is that, 100 Canadian?
Lance Storm: Don't go there.
Then Nidia and Jamie Noble go surfing and then finally, Rock, Triple H and a cast of others were present for a huge charity dinner. Nothing too exciting there.
Next…We go into Shawn Michaels showing pictures of him during childhood, high school, and on to now with his Mom and Dad. Looking at wrestling pictures, his settings, and so on…
And Then… Rock & Brock Promo… Not really much Brock though..It was all about The Rock (of course…) The Rock blabbering on about how much he gives his best in the ring and his workout regimen in preparing for Brock *Yawn * (Usually I'd be sleeping through this little segment) I missed about 10 minutes afterward to go get something to eat.
Later on, they showed Tazz commentating back when he was in ECW. *Commercial Break* Woop, Shawn Michaels pops up again AND Then we get to see RICO!!! RICO talking to fans, RICO in his Leopard suit, RICO speaking Australian…What else do you want, damn it?!?!!
So, That's Confidential for you... Kudos to Kurt, Christian, and Lance for being the best part of the whole show.
