FOOTBALL GAMES

This is the football schedule for The 1999 Hunterdon Central Regional H.S. Varsity Football team

Sept. 9th,1999 - Away - Warren Hills High School

Our first performance of the year went well, the game, however, did not. Due to the lightning storm that night, the lights went out, we were was forced to leave before the half since we are good conductors of electricity, Warren Hill's band was unable to perform, and the game was called during half time. The score before leaving was 30-0 Central. The game was continued the next day and the final score was 49-0! Looks like we are going to the Championships again this year!

Friday, Sept. 17 - Away - Hillsborough High School

Hillsborough was a great game although it was postponed to Saturday due to Floyd! Our team just beat Hillsborough 14-12! We were unable to march our show do to the condition of the field and the amount of people missing since the game was rescheduled. However, we did play it down in a playing arch and it sounded great!

Friday, Sept. 24 - Home - Trenton High School

This was the first time that the band was able to play the whole show down at a game and it was also the first time we were able to march on our field. The show was absolutely great. Both the music and marching were very strong. Again the football team won with another shut out, 21-0!

Friday, Oct. 1 - Home - Bridgewater - Raritan High School

This game was a close match. At one point Bridgewater was leading, but Central regained the lead and won 31-21! Our was great. After a hard, long week of practice and changes the performance was the best yet!

Saturday, Oct. 9 - Away - Franklin High School

This game was originally scheduled as a home game but was, at the last minutes changed to an away game. This weekend was a very relaxed weekend for the band with no practice before the game. We performed pre-game with a show that was good but lacked in energy. Again the football team had a great game, with a shut out in sight. However, Franklin was able to score one touchdown but missed the two-point conversion attempt, leaving the score, 35-6 Central!

Friday, Oct. 15 - Home - Watchung Hills Regional High School

Friday, Oct. 22 - Homecoming - North Hunterdon High School

Friday, Oct. 29 - Away - P'burg

Saturday, Nov. 6 - Away - West Windsor-Plainsboro High School
