 Lyn-Lin Chinese Cresteds Florida, USA

My name is K. Lynn Anderson, I am fifty seven years old. I believe that I was put on this earth to love animals and care for them. I have had some kind of animal most of my life. I got my first horse when I was twelve. I talked to every horse person I knew and contacted Appaloosa breeders and asked a hundred questions. I learned all I could about the breed.

Hence my motto "If you don't ask questions, you can't learn."

I took a break from horses from 1972 til 1986 to raise a family. In 1987 I got back into horses with a leopard appaloosa stallion and a bay mare in foal to him.

I studied the breed learning what would produce a really good quality Appaloosa, conformation, performance and color. I was very passionate about improving upon the Appaloosa, if I chose to breed. But this was not to be.

In May 1991 while exercising one of my mares, I was thrown & kicked in the face. This changed my life forever. I was no longer able to have my horses. I turned my attention to my toy & miniature poodles. Having my dogs to love and care for helped me thru my rehabilitation. In July 1994 I got my very first chinese crested!

I fell in love with the Chinese Crested the very first time I laid eyes upon one. His name was Freckles (pictured), Donna Guinn (DeeKay) had rescued him from a very abusive home. I met them at obedience classes. With lots of love and patience from Donna, Freckles earned a CD in Obedience and became a Therapy dog.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to welcome this breed into my life. I am but a single person in the world of Chinese Cresteds. My dogs live with me. I have been fortunate enough to learn from many wonderful Crested breeders. I studied pedigrees so that I could make the best matches possible to produce a better Crested. Most of my old dogs have gone over the Rainbow Bridge and some are retired now.

My very first crested was a rescue of sorts. I named him "Streakin Wildman" because he was sooo naked and wild! Streaker was 4 months old when I got him. I lost Streaker January 12, 2009. He was 14 yrs and 10 mos old. In the nearly 15 yrs Streaker lived up to his name. I really miss him.

Ch Gipez's Lu-King

"TOBI" was my first show quality crested. I got him at 4 months of age in 1997. Many thanks to Ginette E. Perez (of Gipez) for entrusting Tobi to me. Tobi earned his AKC championship under the gentle hand of Jean Dice, with whom I am am deeply grateful for showing him when I was not able. Tobi finished with 4 major wins and one single. Tobi is now retired, has been neutered. Tobi turned 11 years old December 1st.

Tobi died today, Dec. 26, 2006

He had congestive heart failure.

I will miss my dear, sweet , funny little man.

My motto is "If you don't ask questions, you can't learn."

So come on in and meet my four-legged kids.
