Loraginos Eldrekkena

A third son of wealthy land-holding parents, Loraginos was sent to Megara to study magic. However, always rather spoiled, he did not take well to the arduous study and only the threat of having his generous allowance cut off kept him there. Nonetheless, he did persevere, and decided to pursue the sudy of evocation. The fact that it is a dangerous and (due to to its history) an unpopular art did not dissuade him. He liked the idea of summoning creatures to his work for him, and the fact that it is potentially one of the most powerful of the arcane arts. The fact that there were few other students - so he didn't have to compete as hard - had great appeal too. In the school he made several friends who joined him whoring and gambling in the city when they could escape their studies. However, one night with a little wine under his belt, he responded to taunting by another student by summoning an imp to plague him. The spell was poorly woven and Loraginos got a major demon instead. It was only restrained by more senior sorcerors with great difficulty and Loraginos decided to leave town quickly before his responsibility was uncovered. He knows that his parents, will be angry and disappointed that he has left the security and prestige of his tutor's household. He won't be able to expect much help from them. Worse, when his act is discovered, he can expect his former mentor to try and get him back for punishment...

Loraginos thus joined a traveling caravan that was glad to take on a mage with apparently respectable credentials and left Megara for parts unknown. However, he intends to return to Megara one day and make the other student - Jehovic - pay for what he sees as "ruining his career".
