The man known as Orlachor of Irilian is of Martic race - a swarthy, slimly built character in his mid 30's, with short dark hair and a fine beard. He has the reputation of being a man who will do anything for money and he is not much trusted by the other retainers. That's fine with him - he doesn't trust any of them farther than he can see them. However, he is tolerated because of his ability to find things out - he is an expert at scaling walls and stealthy entry. He's also an expert on sticking knives into people - although he prefers to do it from behind an unsuspecting victim. Orlachor was recruited by the Fon on the advice of another warlord, who had experience of his warlike skills.
However the man who goes by the name of Orlachor is in fact someone else entirely - he is Almira, a smuggler from Irilian. Wandering off his normal route, he was accosted by a patrol from Shashamasse and only avoided robbery or worse, by persuading them that he was expected by the Fon. The Fon, of course, assumed he was Orlachor, and Almira discovered that there were worse ways to make a living than being one of the Fon's bully-boys - especially since some of his thieving ex-comrades in Irilian want very much to talk with him about a stolen-goods deal that went sour.
However, Almira knew his days were numbered if the Fon's messengers should find the real Orlachor. Being sent to Irilian to buy equipment, he therefore sought out Orlachor, intending to do away with him. Finding the tavern where Orlachor made his base, he sneaked in at night - and found himself in the middle of a brawl as Chandara the Golden and Amhara the Corsair attempted to escape from a double-cross. He made his own escape - and earned their gratitude - by sticking a couple of knives into Orlachor's kidneys as he fought Amhara. However, now he has heard that Orlachor's equally unpleasant brother is looking for his brother's killer. Far-off Shassamanse is looking pretty attractive to him right now.....
Orlachor/Almira's normal approach to combat is to get behind some other combatant and then throw daggers into his enemies unarmoured bits. He is no mean swordsman either, but it's certainly not his favoured way to dealing with trouble. He normally carries one of the light, slim swords favoured by the Red Brotherhood (treat as a scimitar) and a number of daggers secreted about his person. He also carries a light metal buckler (+1 DCV) and tends to dress well. Like all of the retainers, he carries the gold gorget given to him by the Fon and he has a number of valuable-looking rings - the way he carries his portable loot with him. Sometimes he fights with a dagger in one hand and a sword in the other, but that's only if he doesn't have a shield handy.
